Stan joined DraftKings in December of 2020. It was a glorious time, except for that whole COVID thing, when we got Madden streams and boisterous bat flips from the KBO. I was brought on board to bring some West Coast flavor. I especially love hoops, and most of my content is in that arena. When I walk along the beach, strumming my guitar, the beat that I hear is not one of crashing waves. No, it is the beat of the ball bouncing off the hardwood with highs provided by the squeaks of the sneakers. Ball is life.
The Boston Red Sox got 99 problems but power ain’t one. They are fifth in slugging and eighth in home runs. On Monday, they flexed with four home runs, but what was really impressive is that two players went back-to-back twice! In the third inning, Rob Refsnyder ($3,700; 44 FPTS) sent a 0-1 pitch over […]

On the entire Week 1 slate, the Los Angeles Rams and Detroit Lions matchup had the highest total of 54 points. It was the only game with an Over/Under over 50 points. So, of course, the game ended up 20-20 after regulation and went into overtime. But that doesn’t mean it was an offensive snore. […]

Puka Nacua ($9,800 Showdown; 8.2 FPTS) dealt with a knee injury over the offseason, but was finally able to get right for the Week 1 game in Detroit. And things were going swimmingly, as he rushed once for seven yards and caught all four targets for 35 yards on 15 routes run. Unfortunately, in the […]

Baker Mayfield ($5,600; 29.66 FPTS) has had quite the career arc, going from first overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft to being traded for a fifth-round pick, to getting claimed off waivers, to signing a one-year, prove-it contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. And prove it he did, as he completed 64.3% of his […]

Friday night’s game in Brazil between the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers wasn’t pretty early on, as the grass had players on both teams slipping left and right. The offense would pick up in a hurry, however. Both teams ended with over 400 yards of offense and a player from each squad had a […]

Friday’s game between the Phillies and Marlins looked to be a mismatch before the first pitch was thrown. Philadelphia sits atop the NL East, while Miami is curled up in the cellar. Philadelphia had won five straight and 10 of the last 12. Then, starting pitcher Edward Cabrera was a late scratch due to a […]

Mark Vientos ($4,600; 35 FPTS) wasn’t good his first two seasons in the majors. During his rookie season, he slashed .167/.268/.278 with a .111 ISO and 29.3% strikeout rate in 41 plate appearances. Last season, he received 233 plate appearances, and while he did improve, slashing .211/.253/.367 with a .156 ISO, the strikeout rate was […]

The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to become the first NFL team to win three championships in a row. The journey began on Thursday, at home against the Baltimore Ravens with the familiar cast of characters. Patrick Mahomes ($10,400; 16.14 FPTS) is still the quarterback, Isiah Pacheco ($8,400; 15.8 FPTS) is still the starting running […]

The San Diego Padres will likely make the playoffs, as they currently have the best wild card record. But the Arizona Diamondbacks are only a half game back and the Padres are only five games back of the division-leading Los Angeles Dodgers. After winning three straight games, they were looking to sweep the lowly Detroit […]

The Colorado Rockies always have a puncher’s chance at home due to the altitude. While they are still under .500 in Colorado with a 32-37 record, on the road only the Chicago White Sox are worse. Chicago is 14-55 on the road while Colorado is 20-52. The Rockies have scored the third-fewest runs and are […]
