Stan joined DraftKings in December of 2020. It was a glorious time, except for that whole COVID thing, when we got Madden streams and boisterous bat flips from the KBO. I was brought on board to bring some West Coast flavor. I especially love hoops, and most of my content is in that arena. When I walk along the beach, strumming my guitar, the beat that I hear is not one of crashing waves. No, it is the beat of the ball bouncing off the hardwood with highs provided by the squeaks of the sneakers. Ball is life.
Take out the seventh inning in this game, and it would’ve ended 2-1. But I don’t have such powers. Even if I did, I’d be responsible and only use them for the betterment of society. TJ Friedl ($4,300; 26 FPTS) opened up the scoring with a solo home run in the second inning. Byron Buxton […]

Yankees. Red Sox. One of the great MLB rivalries. Boston is no threat to toppling the Yankee empire this season, but the games always have a splash of intensity and dramatic moments often appear like a marauder in the night. Friday night’s matchup was no different. The game was scoreless through five innings, as both […]

Through two rounds of the 2024 Procore Championship, it has been the beaten and downtrodden that have risen like a phoenix and been illuminated by the lights atop the leaderboard. David Lipsky ($6,400; 83 FPTS), who had missed the cut in 13 of 20 tournaments this year, led the field by one stroke after Thursday’s […]

It is often said that you cannot have too many cooks in the kitchen. That’s why the Buffalo Bills only roster one, and he delivered a Michelin Star performance to lead them to victory. The cook that I’m talking about isn’t the Alpha, Omega and Superman of the Bills, aka Josh Allen ($11,000; 9.76 FPTS). […]

Most players struggle in their first stint at the major league level, but this has been a successful rookie season for Mitchell Parker ($6,800; 21.85 FPTS). The double-digit K/9 in the minors hasn’t translated, as it’s at 8.07 in 136 innings, but he’s shown good control and hasn’t been hurt by the long ball. The […]

For most things in life, straight is better than crooked. Driving from point A to point B, the most direct route is often the best. Straight teeth induce more smiles, while crooked ones do not foster happiness. For baseball, though, a crooked number on the scoreboard means a team has put up more than one […]

We had an old-fashioned pitching duel on Wednesday in Boston. Both starters allowed only one earned run and each bullpen gave up only one run as well. And that’s how it remained after nine innings. Dean Kremer ($6,500; 23.55 FPTS) went seven innings for Baltimore, striking out seven, walking two and allowing that one earned […]

The New England Patriots dynasty ended after the 2019-20 season. Since then, the Buffalo Bills have sat on the Pigskin Throne of the AFC East every year. But before the 2022-23 season starts, the Miami Dolphins hired the mad genius Mike McDaniel to concoct an elixir to take the team to the Promised Land. And […]

Week 1 is in the books. Some teams cooked while others looked completely shook. We mistook the Chicago hype for reality, as its offense failed to elevate like a Chinook. But we also learned that age ain’t nothing but a number, as a touchdown was scored by 30-year-old Brandin Cooks. Baker Mayfield flipped through the […]

The late scratch of Christian McCaffrey from Monday Night’s game had DFS players around the globe scrambling at the last minute. Many landed on Jordan Mason ($3,000 Showdown; 25.2 FPTS), which turned out to be a sharp decision. In the $2.25M Monday Night Millionaire tournament, Mason was rostered in the CPT slot by 14.9%, while […]

Jordan Mason went undrafted in the 2022 NFL Draft. He has good size at 5-foot-11 and 223 pounds, but he runs a 4.58 40-yard dash and his college production didn’t wow. But San Francisco saw something in him and signed him as a free agent. During his rookie season, he carried 43 times for 258 […]
