Stan joined DraftKings in December of 2020. It was a glorious time, except for that whole COVID thing, when we got Madden streams and boisterous bat flips from the KBO. I was brought on board to bring some West Coast flavor. I especially love hoops, and most of my content is in that arena. When I walk along the beach, strumming my guitar, the beat that I hear is not one of crashing waves. No, it is the beat of the ball bouncing off the hardwood with highs provided by the squeaks of the sneakers. Ball is life.
Over the past six months, we have glanced over thousands of headlines regarding fantasy football. We have Zapruder-film’dd five-second clips of players in shorts. We have entered hundreds of best ball drafts on DraftKings. We have correlated stacks with playoff schedules, with player exposures, with coaching changes. with regression analysis, and simulations that would make […]

There have been nine NFL teams to win back-to-back championships: Green Bay Packers, Miami Dolphins, Pittsburgh Steelers (twice), San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos, New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs. Eight were unable to make it three in a row, but the Chiefs are still live to make history. DK Sportsbook currently has […]

There’s been plenty of offense in this series between the Yankees and Rangers. New York took the opener, 8-4. Texas tied things up on Tuesday with a 7-4 victory. In the rubber match, the Rangers pounded out 10 runs on 14 hits for the win on Wednesday. It was smooth sailing for the Rangers, as […]

The San Diego Padres and Arizona Diamondbacks are in a good position to grab two of the wild card slots in the National League. The Atlanta Braves and New York Mets are three games back in the win column for the final spot. The Chicago Cubs are on the outside looking in, sitting four games […]

The Oakland Athletics are not a good baseball team, as they currently sit fourth in the AL West with a 60-78 record. They are 25th in runs scored and 24th in batting average. But what they can do is send pitches into the outfield seats, as the 177 home runs rank fifth in MLB. The […]

Joe Musgrove ($8,000; 30.5 FPTS) was atrocious to begin the season. In 10 starts, he posted an 8.03 K/9, 1.82 HR/9 and 5.36 FIP. Then an MRI revealed a bone spur in his right elbow and he was shut down for two months. Since returning to action in August, Musgrove has made four starts and […]

Remember when there was chatter about the Houston Astros selling off pieces as they limped into the All-Star break with a 51-46 record? Those were good times. Since then, they have rolled off a 34-16 record with streaks of three, eight, three and now five games after sweeping the four-game set against the Kansas City […]

The Oakland Athletics rank 24th in runs scored on the season, but when they do score, it is usually from the long ball. The Athletics are fifth in MLB with 174 home runs. On Friday in Texas, they flexed not once, not twice, not thrice but four times and notched the 9-2 win. Brent Rooker […]

We had ourselves a good ole’ fashion pitcher’s duel Friday in Houston. Framber Valdez ($9,500; 27.35 FPTS) did not allow a hit in seven innings. He struck out seven and walked three. Seth Lugo ($9,100; 27.55 FPTS) also went seven innings and struck out nine, but he walked one and allowed one earned run on […]

For the first three months of the season, Austin Wells ($4,300; 32 FPTS) was batting towards the bottom of the lineup while slashing .214/.307/.343 with a .129 ISO. He then he started creeping up the lineup, batting seventh, then sixth, then finally slotting into the cleanup position. July 20th was when he first batted cleanup […]

Scheffler ($12,200; 81.5 FPTS) began the TOUR Championship with a two-stroke lead. After shooting a six-under 65 on Thursday, he extended the advantage to seven strokes. The field caught up to him a bit on Friday, but he still maintains a four-stroke lead heading into the weekend after shooting a five-under 66. On the front […]
