Stan joined DraftKings in December of 2020. It was a glorious time, except for that whole COVID thing, when we got Madden streams and boisterous bat flips from the KBO. I was brought on board to bring some West Coast flavor. I especially love hoops, and most of my content is in that arena. When I walk along the beach, strumming my guitar, the beat that I hear is not one of crashing waves. No, it is the beat of the ball bouncing off the hardwood with highs provided by the squeaks of the sneakers. Ball is life.
Gardner Minshew and Aidan O’Connell battled in the offseason for the number one job with Minshew eventually getting the nod, but it could have easily been O’Connell, as he performed and carried himself well. In five starts to open the season, Minshew wasn’t bad, completing 70.7% of his passes for 1,014 yards, four touchdowns and […]

Prior to the start of the season, not much was expected from the Mets. Their win total was 81.5 and the odds of winning the NL Pennant were +2800. For the World Series? +5500. That got Lloyd Christmas to smile from ear to ear. That smile was turned upside down, though, as New York started […]

Michael Pittman Jr. has been dealing with a back injury since Week 2’s contest against the Packers. There’s been no mention of when the injury occurred or the severity of it, but Pittman Jr. has been able to play through it, participating in 84%, 88% and 89% of the snaps over the last three weeks. […]

The 49ers have been the class of the NFC West in recent years, finishing atop the division in the last two seasons. Entering 2024, DK Sportsbook had them as the favorite once again at -195. But On Any Given Sunday. After dismantling the Jets on opening night, they lost to Minnesota, which isn’t so bad […]

Jauan Jennings got us all excited when he caught 11-of-12 targets for 175 yard and three touchdowns in Week 3. He’s not a burner, as the 40 time is only 4.72, but at 6-foot-3 and 215 pounds, he can Moss defenders. But the Rams pass defense is one of the worst in the league, 31st […]

Jayden Daniels has been spectacular to open the season. He’s gone 101-of-131 for 1,135 yards (a ridiculous 77.1%), four touchdowns and two interceptions while rushing 57 times for 300 yards, four touchdowns and 22 first downs. His stellar play has guided the Commanders to a 4-1 record and a place at the top of the […]

NFL Week 5 is almost in the books, pending Monday night’s matchup, but the opening odds for Week 6 are up on DraftKings Sportsbook and it’s time to give a lookey-loo. The bye weeks started in Week 5. There were four teams off then, and there are four teams off in Week 6: Kansas City […]

Jordan Whittington is 6-foot-1, 204 pounds and played his college ball at Texas. He was selected in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL draft by the Los Angeles Rams. He’s an older prospect at 24 years old and runs the 40 in 4.52 seconds while possessing an 86th percentile agility score. He generated buzz […]

Joe Musgrove was once a pillar of the San Diego Padres starting rotation, throwing 181 innings, notching a winning record and posting sub-3.75 FIPs in back-to-back-seasons. Then the injury bug hit in 2023, limiting him to 97 innings due to right shoulder inflammation. The 2024 season got off to rough start, as he allowed five […]

The Philadelphia Phillies took care of business during the regular season, racking up 95 wins, the second-best mark in MLB. As a result, they won the NL East by six games and earned the number two seed and a first-round bye in the playoffs. The New York Mets were three games over .500 for the […]

Devin Singletary injured his groin during Week 4’s game against the Dallas Cowboys. While there’s still some optimism that he could be able to suit up for Week 5, Singletary did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday, and was a limited participant in Friday’s practice. He’s been downgraded to doubtful and if he’s unable to […]
