UPDATE 9:37 p.m. ET: Butler will not return to Friday’s game.
Late in the first quarter of Friday’s game against the Denver Nuggets, Jimmy Butler drove towards the paint from the right side of the key. He tried to stop on a dime but rolled his right ankle in the process. He was able to walk without any assistance but headed into the locker room.
Prior to exiting, Butler contributed two points, a rebound and two assists in seven minutes.
