After weeks of talking about being done with the Crossovers, Barrett finally did something about it. He flipped from the Crossovers to FAP. All it took was the Icons targeting his true No. 1 ally, Mallory.
That was a bridge too far. But is it too late for him to lead the effort to save her from eviction?
Here’s what you need to know from Wednesday’s Big Brother live feeds.
Check out our Big Brother power rankings after Week 6!
Big Brother Season 28 Week 7 Results
Sunday’s episode began Week 7 of the summer-long competition, as a new Head of Household was crowned. And coming out of a Viking-themed balance beam comp, Dee outlasted the field to become the new Head of Household.
A week after facing her first real danger of the season, Dee is back in power. She’s been at the top of my power rankings all season, and now seems primed to ensure the Icons continue to dominate the game, thanks in part to Devens’ use of the Diamond of Power of Veto last week.
But LaLa won the Power of Veto, forcing Dee to nominate a replacement. That replacement turned out to be fellow Mosh Pit member Mallory, an idea pitched by Devens. Will that be a bridge too far for her allies Drew and Barrett? Can Dee further the Icons’ agenda? We’ll have to see how this week plays out!
- Head of Household: Dee
- Power of Veto winner: LaTrice
- Nominees: Drew,
LaTrice, Taylor, Mallory (LaTrice used the Power of Veto on herself, with Mallory being named replacement nominee) - Evicted last week: Kamu
- Remaining players: 11
- Next episode: Thursday, August 27 (BB Blockbuster competition and live eviction vote)
Big Brother Wednesday Live Feed Spoilers
Barrett finally wakes up, crosses up on the Crossovers
All season I’ve been negative toward Barrett for not doing much and for rolling over and doing whatever the Icons want, even if it’s bad for his game. When he willingly seemed ready to accept the Icons putting their nominal ally Mallory on the block, it felt like there was nothing that could be done to save Barrett or Drew. That appears to be true about Drew, but as it turns out, not about Barrett.
It turns out that Devens was right on Tuesday that the Icons should have blindsided Drew and Barrett with Mallory becoming the target, because when Haley accidentally revealed it and the Icons had to confirm it to Barrett it was a bridge too far.
Update: Barrett has officially flipped on The Crossovers. Dee, Angela and Devens were right with their original logic that they needed to blindside Barrett if they wanted Mallory to be evicted this week #bb28 pic.twitter.com/0I4pQIAKVO

Barrett had told Dee that under no circumstances would he evict Mallory over Taylor, even if the rest of the alliance chose to do so. And he told Devens that he was mad at Dee for putting him in this position. But he goes all the way by informing Mallory and Melody that he and Drew have been working with the Icons for basically the entire game.
Barrett tells Mal/Mel that he & Drew have been working with the icons since the beginning, and he's over it. He says Drew wants to appease the icons, and it's stupid to drag them along, especially when they're throwing his friends under the bus. #bb28 pic.twitter.com/1XUJQWmHNm

Melody, naturally, is pissed to finally learn the truth, but more so at Drew. In fact, she feels stupid for trusting him. Both she and Mallory are tired of Drew’s blind loyalty to the Icons. They start to wonder if they should just vote Drew out, with Barrett confirming that Drew is going to choose the Icons over them every time. In fact, Barrett suggests building something with the Yash side of the house toward that end and he goes to Yash to begin to lay the groundwork.
Yash: Would you want to keep Taylor over Drew?
Barrett: I'd be down if the numbers were there. If it was me, you, Mal, Mel, Lala, maybe we could.
Yash: Melody is the key person there. Bro, I'm down. This could be the moment we show them they're not the ringleaders. We keep Taylor…— Tooms (@ToomsBB_) August 27, 2026
There is still some confusion about whether Yash would keep Mallory over Taylor, but the bottom line is that Yash is more than down to take the fight to the Icons. Barrett also gets Taylor on board, which is not surprising given the animosity that has grown between the two this week. He also goes to Haley to see if he can get her on board, but that alerts the Icons that trouble is afoot.

This sends Dee and Drew spiralling, leading to a meeting between the Crossovers. They come together, and Drew is emotional. He doesn’t want to keep Taylor, but he will do as he is told. But he is worried that if Barrett keeps campaigning for Mallory it’s going to put his game in danger. But even here, he doesn’t have the math quite right.
Drew is crying. Everyone takes turns hugging him. He says he hates Taylor, but is voting to keep her this week. He is asking Barrett to stop campaigning for Mallory, because he is worried that he is going to lose Haley’s vote. For the record, Drew still has Haley’s vote, but he… pic.twitter.com/btmNGDKXaj

It all feels like the end of the Crossovers, and it seems like it seems to set in that Drew might be in trouble.
It is 11:30pm and Drew is alone, riding a bike in the gym while he cries.

Drew does get one last hang with FAP and it is … awkward. Like the great Andy Bernard once said, “I wish there was a way to know you’re in the good old days before you’ve actually left them.” Despite being angry with him, Melody has one last late night hang with Drew as well, even if it is somewhat sad and awkward as well. There is still the chance that seeing him alone in the gym crying weakens her resolve to vote Drew out, but it feels likeeven he doesn’t think she’ll be sad to see him go.
Melody says she will be sad if Drew leaves. She asks Drew if he believes her. Drew shakes his head no #bb28 pic.twitter.com/wLPfoshCdw

So, the Icons are prepared to play the “if you’re not with us, you’re against us card” with Barrett, Drew could be leaving the house on his ally’s HOH reign and on bad terms with his best friends in the game and you know who is happiest about all these developments? Yash — the man who got all this started by lying about Drew targeting Dee as retribution for his vote against Kamu last week.
Yash: I cannot wait to see them(Dee, Angela and Devens) surprised. It’s been 50 days and we have never seen them surprised.

Around the house roundup
If Wednesday was really their last night together in the Big Brother house, at least Melody and Drew got to share the story of their respective first kisses.
Melody and Drew both said they had their first kiss their freshman year of high school. Now Drew is telling Melody about his first kiss #bb28 pic.twitter.com/uO5tmCkQXD

We all saw the RAGE come out of Mallory on Wednesday’s episode. So be warned — if she does get evicted on Thursday night, she’s about to become a criminal mastermind.
Mallory: If I leave with all of this rage, I’m gonna commit a crime #bb28 pic.twitter.com/KD28DdU1Ik
— Big Brother Tea (@TheBigBroTea) August 27, 2026
And finally, could part of Mallory’s crime spree include grand theft photo? And would it hurt her chances to get on Survivor?
Mallory: I’m not recording my goodbye messages I don’t care. Do you think if I get evicted and take Dee’s pictures of her family it will lower my chances of going on Survivor? #bb28 pic.twitter.com/JoNjjQi3tj
