Dee Valladares pulled off the biggest blindside of Big Brother Season 28 on Thursday, flipping the entire eviction vote to save Drew and Melody and send Lyric home 8-3 — all while the outgoing HOH had no idea it was happening.

Now the Red Corner is in shambles and a new Head of Household is set to power. Here’s everything to know about Sunday’s episode, including the air time, how to watch and what to expect from a house in full meltdown mode.

What happened last time on Big Brother Season 28?

Lyric became the fourth person evicted from the Big Brother house in an 8-3 vote. The eviction itself was a masterclass from Dee, who marshalled the votes necessary to not only save Drew but also Melody — Haley’s sworn enemy — right under the HOH’s nose.

Kamu, Chuk and Yash were the three votes to keep Lyric. Everyone else fell in line behind Dee’s plan. The result left the entire Red Corner stunned. Haley’s face at the vote reveal has already become meme fodder. And Melody, who did nothing to engineer any of this, got the last laugh on the woman who spent the entire week trying to end her game.

But the real fallout started after the eviction. Instead of questioning the Icons — who actually orchestrated the blindside — the Red Corner turned on each other. Chuk and Yash became convinced that Kamu was lying to them. Haley, still operating like she had some measure of power, went around interrogating houseguests about why they didn’t follow her orders. And Kamu, now distrusted by his own allies, told Melody and Mallory that he’d nominate Chuk alongside Dee and Angela if he won HOH.

The Red Corner civil war is officially on.

What to expect on Big Brother tonight

The Wall comp and the new HOH

The houseguests competed in a Wall endurance competition immediately following Thursday’s live eviction. The identity of the new HOH — and who they choose to nominate — will be the defining reveal of Sunday’s episode.

The timing of this HOH couldn’t be more volatile. The Red Corner is fractured. The minority side of the house just watched as the Toolshed seemingly just flipped the vote and blindsided one of their own on the live show. And Dee’s fingerprints are all over everything, even if the Red Corner somehow hasn’t figured that out yet. Whoever won the Wall comp is walking into a house where allegiances could be shifting.

The Red Corner civil war

This is the biggest story in the house right now. An alliance that spent three weeks as part of the Toolshed’s reliable voting bloc has collapsed in on itself in a single night.

Chuk, as well as Yash, is certain Kamu lied about the vote. Haley is suspicious of him too. And Kamu — who actually voted WITH Chuk and Yash to save Lyric — is somehow taking the blame for a blindside he had nothing to do with. Chuk said it “hurts his heart” that Kamu would deceive them, which is another in a series of bad reads from Chuk.

All the while, Dee is laughing about how easy it is to play this group, and she’s earned it. The Icons wanted to break the Red Corner before it became a threat, and Thursday’s blindside accomplished that without any of them catching much blowback. The Red Corner is pointing fingers at each other while the people who actually pulled the trigger are sitting comfortably at the top of the house.

Dee’s game reaches another level

Our weekly power rankings now have Dee at No. 1, and the reasoning is straightforward — she engineered the entire blindside, saved Drew (keeping the Crossover numbers intact), kept Melody alive (a humiliating blow to Haley), and triggered the Red Corner implosion. All in one move. She also has the BB Bribe in her back pocket that nobody in the house knows about.

Combined with Devens’ Diamond Power of Veto, the reality icons have an absurd amount of safety built up. Three straight weeks of America sending icons to the Time Capsule has given them advantages that the rest of the house can’t even account for because they don’t know the powers exist.

The BB Time Capsule

America will send another houseguest into the BB Time Capsule. With all three Icons having already taken their turns, the most likely candidates seem to be Mallory, Melody or Drew — players who have either been sympathetic underdogs or caught up in dramatic moments that make for compelling TV.

Mallory might be the frontrunner after her emotional diary room confessionals about Haley’s claim that she’d had a rough month. If Mallory does get sent in, she needs to win a power. A punishment at this stage of the game could spiral her emotionally, and she’s already running low on allies after Lyric’s eviction.

Taylor’s quiet rise

Taylor went from being Haley’s target at the start of Week 4 to working directly with the Icons by the end of it. She won the Power of Veto, took herself off the block, and was part of the conversations around spinning the blindside narrative on Thursday night.

More importantly, Taylor has started building real relationships with players positioned far better in this game than her previous closest ally, LaTrice. Julie Chen Moonves herself has taken notice of Taylor’s trajectory. If Taylor can continue embedding herself with the Icons rather than operating on the periphery, she has a real path forward.

Drew lives to fight another day

Drew went from “the target who doesn’t know he’s the target” to surviving the week by winning the Blockbuster, even if he would have survived anyway because Dee decided he was more useful alive than dead.

That’s both good news and bad news for Drew. Good: he’s still in the game, ranked No. 8 in the power rankings. Bad: his position in the game is only as secure as his usefulness to the Icons. Drew told the diary room he wanted to blow up the Toolshed — does the blindside change that impulse, or reinforce it?

Where does this leave Haley?

At the absolute bottom. Haley’s HOH week was a complete disaster. Her target (Melody) survived. Her pawn-turned-target (Drew) survived. The person who actually went home (Lyric) was someone Haley put on the block as a replacement nominee after breaking a deal. She was blindsided on her own HOH week. And now she’s going around demanding answers from people who no longer respect her authority.

Haley’s only saving grace might be that she’s so toxic at this point that houseguests could see her as a useful person to sit next to at the end. But that’s a long way from where she thought she was standing when she was reading the house a riot act from her HOH room.
