Tonight’s 40th and penultimate episode of Big Brother Season 28 was delayed by the NFL and the 2026 MTV VMAs. And how were we, the faithful who waited until 10:15 p.m. ET, rewarded? With a clip show!
Honestly, I was hoping that we would at least see Part 1 of the final HOH competition (if you watch the Live Feeds, then you know the results of both Part 1 and Part 2 already), but alas the most we got was the start of Part 1.
Here’s what was actually new—and noteworthy—from tonight’s penultimate episode of Big Brother Season 28.

Big Brother Season 28 Final 3 Results
Taylor won HOH on Thursday to start a new eviction cycle, while Drew won the final Power of Veto. That gave the 22-year-old the power to decide which of the two remaining Icons – Devens or Dee — would go on to Final 3 and which one would ultimately go to jury. In the end, Drew sent Dee to jury, bringing Devens with him and Taylor to Final 3.

Welcome to the Final 3
In the aftermath of Dee’s eviction, Drew explains that he wanted to make the most of his decision on who to evict. So before casting his vote, he asked both Devens and Dee if they would throw Part 1 of the HOH to him if the opportunity presented itself. In the end, Devens was more willing to compromise so it was Devens that Drew took to the Final 3.
Of course, not everyone agreed with that decision. Devens was thrilled, as it brings him one step closer to making his case for that $750,000 grand prize. But Taylor, on the other hand, doesn’t see the vision. She thinks Drew just signed himself up for a second-place finish. And that’s something she would never do to herself.
For his part, Devens gets emotional thinking about his family and how he’s gotten so close in Survivor before falling ultimately short. But he says that he truly believes this is the one. This is where he will take home the grand prize and change his family’s life.

Welcome to jury
Following a look at some of the highlights from Big Brother Season 28, including a look at each of the finalists’ games, we got an update from jury house.
It was all fun and games … until Melody came through those doors. After seeing how Melody got cursed and sent to jury. Angela starts trouble, however, by noting how Taylor’s game was just slightly below Melody’s and LaLa wanted to hear her strategy. That set off Melody, who pointed out that she made Top 5 and LaLa didn’t.
Melody says her strategy was to rely on her social game. But Angela disagrees, arguing that Melody never left her inner circle and says she made it to the end because she wasn’t winning. Melody wants to know what Angela did, and it devolves into Angela calling Melody a coaster and telling Melody to shut up.
If nothing else, this segment gave us another Angela crash out and Angela once again bringing up … whatever it was that Drew and Melody were doing in that pool. Honestly, this was not Angela’s finest moment and more ammunition for those who grew tired of her act over the course of the season.

Things eventually got back on track, revealing the end of Melody’s game … and a very snarky comment from Angela welcoming Melody to jury. LaLa is hoping that Taylor will put out a win, but Yash reminds the jury that it’s their job to analyze everyone’s game without taking it personally.
And with that, we leave the jurors to go have fun with Barrett’s beloved water slide. It looks like it’s been a fun few days in jury house.
Let’s go fly a kite
After seeing a few more clips from the season, we got to see the start of Part 1 of the final HOH competition. And for this log rolling competition, the houseguests were sent back to 1752 to help Ben Franklin in his quest to discover electricity. The houseguests will stand on a spinning log, holding a kite spool while risking an electric jolt. Last player standing will win Part 1 and the two losers will square off in Part 2.

Thursday’s live, 90-minute season finale begins at 8 p.m. ET. We’ll learn the winners of final HOH Parts 1, 2 and 3 before the Final 2 make their cases for the $750,000 grand prize.
