Big Brother Live Feed Spoilers: Wednesday Recap from Season 28 Week 5

Published:

By: Andy Silva

Wednesday’s Big Brother live feeds featured the formation of a new alliance, an unexpected thaw between Angela and Haley and key strategic conversations that could influence the game beyond Thursday’s live eviction.

Here’s what you need to know from the Wednesday’s Big Brother live feeds.

Check out our Big Brother power rankings after Week 4!

Big Brother Season 28 Week 5 Results

Sunday’s episode began Week 5 of the summer-long competition, as a new Head of Household was crowned. For the first time this season, a member of the Toolshed DID NOT win the HOH comp, with LaTrice earning a shocking win over Kamu in the legendary Wall comp to become the new Head of Household.

This is the first time many of the members of the now seemingly-dead Toolshed alliance will have to fight from behind, so to speak, with the Red Corner in particular in serious jeopardy, as LaLa has nominated both Haley and Chuk.

Kamu won this week’s Power of Veto competition, but has elected to not use it, marking the first time this season that has occurred. That leaves his two former close allies Haley and Chuk on the block and in danger heading into the BB Blockbuster and live eviction vote on Thursday.

  • Head of Household: LaTrice
  • Power of Veto winner: Kamu
  • Nominees: Haley, Chuk and Barrett (Kamu did not use the Power of Veto)
  • Evicted last week: Lyric
  • Remaining players: 13
  • Next episode: Thursday, August 13 (BB Blockbuster competition and Live Eviction vote)

Big Brother Wednesday Live Feed Spoilers

From fight to friends again for Angela & Haley?

A major focal point of Wednesday’s episode of Big Brother (read my recap here) was the big blowup between Haley and Angela in the gym. In case you missed it or just forgot (which feels unlikely) here it is. If you want the UNCENSORED version, check it out here.

Well, needless to say, things have been a bit icy between Angela and Haley since this incident (which actually happened on Saturday despite airing just last night). For her part, Haley thinks Angela misses her, and she just might be right, as Angela has been saying for days on the live feeds that she wants to talk to Haley. But apparently there has been an impediment — LaLa. And boy, have we seen how much LaLa does not care for Haley. In fact, just talking about Haley makes LaLa mad.

In the end, Angela says she talked to Haley and Dee is glad she did. Not only that, but Angela now says she actually wants Haley to win the BB Blockbuster and stay! Even with the potential that Haley would nominate Angela (and LaLa) if she stays and wins HOH. What a turnaround! Of course, despite being together in the Honor Society, Dee can’t help but use this situation to drive a bit of wedge between Angela and LaLa. This is why Dee is dominating this game. She never misses an opportunity to play the game.

Around the house roundup

We also got the formation and official naming of a new alliance on Wednesday, even if the members are aligned together in other groups. Devens, Kamu and Yash came together to officially unite unde the banner of the Bermuda Triangle. This is interesting as no two players have benefitted more from the house shakeup following last week’s blindside than Kamu and Yash. And Devens could be looking to insulate himself with as many alliances as possible, similar to how Dee laid out her escape hatches during Weednesday’s episode.

Speaking of Kamu, if you recall, last week he promised to get together with Mallory to give her some information. That conversation got delayed, but finally happened on Wednesday. In it, Kamu basically lays out everything Lyric had told him last week while she threw Mallory under the bus.

Does this information have a ton of material impact with Lyric long gone from the house? Maybe not. But at the very least, it could build some trust between two players who have been on opposite sides of the house and potentially guarantee both safety. We’ve already seen that Mallory is not afraid to make deals like this, so it is worth watching if this impacts any potential HOH from either in the coming weeks. But keep in mind that just hours earlier, Kamu told Devens that if he won HOH he would nominate Mallory, Melody and Chuk. So perhaps don’t take everything Kamu says at face value.

We all know that Dee and Devens earned their reality icon bonafides on the shores of Fiji on Survivor. Both played the game twice, with Dee winning Survivor 45 and both playing Survivor 50. But Dee’s always wanted to ask him something about his first season and how it ended.

And finally, if you’ve been watching the live feeds you’ve been seeing the adventures of Mallory leading “tours” in the house. Well, on Wednesday, Mallory added air service to her offerings. She offered a “flight” to the house, and almost everyone was on board (even if Devens almost missed the flight). Not only were the houseguests in on the bit, but so was production.

Who won HOH this week?

LaTrice won HOH on Sunday, breaking a streak of four weeks where a member of the Toolshed alliance took control of the house.

Who won the Power of Veto this week?

Kamu won the Power of Veto this week. He elected not to use the power this week, marking the first time in Big Brother Season 28 that nominations went unchanged.

Who was nominated for eviction this week?

As head of household, LaTrice nominated HaleyChuk and Barrett for eviction this week. Kamu won the Power of Veto, but elected not to use it. That means the nominees all stay on the block and LaTrice does not have to name a replacement nominee.
