After an absolutely ELECTRIC Saturday, it was a bit of a sleepy Sunday on the Big Brother live feeds.
But that being said, there were some interesting developments which could shape the rest of LaLa’s HOH reign, including a potentially moving target.
Here’s what you need to know from the Sunday’s Big Brother live feeds.
Check out our Big Brother power rankings after Week 4!
Big Brother Season 28 Week 5 Results
Sunday’s episode began Week 5 of the summer-long competition, as a new Head of Household was crowned. For the first time this season, a member of the Toolshed DID NOT win the HOH comp, with LaTrice earning a shocking win over Kamu in the legendary Wall comp to become the new Head of Household.
This is the first time many of the members of the now seemingly-dead Toolshed alliance will have to fight from behind, so to speak, with the Red Corner in particular in serious jeopardy, as LaLa has nominated both Haley and Chuk. Will LaLa’s HOH really be able to shift the power in the house? We’ll have to see how this week plays out!
- Head of Household: LaTrice
- Power of Veto winner: Kamu
- Nominees: Haley, Chuk and Barrett
- Evicted last week: Lyric
- Remaining players: 13
- Next episode: Wednesday, August 12 (Power of Veto competition)
Big Brother Sunday Live Feed Spoilers
Moving target
Sunday — especially compared to an explosive Saturday which featured TWO major blowups between Angela and Haley — was relatively quiet. But during the course of the day, a major development could be gathering steam. A change in target.
As seen in Sunday’s episode (read my recap here), Haley is clearly LaLa’s target (you know, after she also considered Devens and Kamu). In more bad news for the Red Corner, we saw on Sunday’s live feeds that Power of Veto winner Kamu seems unlikely to use the power on either of his former Red Corner allies, noting that just last week Haley did what was best for her game by not targeting Mallory. Haley and Chuk don’t like that answer and are less than pleased with this development.

The interesting development is that in the new house structure, two seperate groups come to the conclusion that it may actually be better for their game to keep Haley and evict Chuk. I noted in my Power Rankings last week, while ranking Haley dead last, that, “Her only saving grace is that she may be so toxic that houseguests might want to take her to the end just so they can sit next to her in front of a jury for an easy win.” Sure enough, Mallory throws it out that it might be better if Haley stays. But even more dangerously for Chuk, Dee has come to the same conclusion.
Dee says she is going to talk to Devens about keeping Haley and evicting Chuk, because people will still hate Haley and there will be chaos in the house #bb28 pic.twitter.com/DCx6D4yxrH

Chuk thinks if he’s up against Barrett, he will have the votes to stay (I think this is another one of Chuk’s bad reads). And if he stays and Haley goes? Chuk claims he is ready to go big if wins HOH. But, if the Icons and FAP come together to save Haley, even if it’s because of how much everyone hates her, that will be the end of Chuk. It should be noted, however, that Taylor and LaLa see value in keeping Chuk around to take out the Icons.
Taylor- When it comes to Chuk staying, I think because he is away from Haley and he is a good competitor, we can use him to get out the icons the next three weeks. Lala- I see what you are saying. Taylor- We can use Chuk, Kamu, Yash, me, you and the rest of the house to knock out…

It’s clear that Taylor wants to take a shot at the Icons, telling LaLa that they shouldn’t let them get to jury in their season. She even starts dropping the hint to people that the Icons — and Kamu — have yet to hit the block. Unfortunately for her, word got back to Dee that she is dropping those hints. Taylor has been rising in the game, and has a shot at outsized influence this week with LaLa as HOH. That is good and bad, in that it has put a target on her back with Dee, who has already been talking with Devens about how they need to get Taylor out of the game ASAP. It will be interesting to see how this battle for power in the house plays out.
Feud for the ages
Just going back to the burgeoning Haley-Angela feud, it feels unlikely that a reconciliation is coming. Saturday’s fight was so big, that is being compared to “Crazy Eyes” from her time in the house in Season 26. The fight wasn’t show on the live feeds, but we got a recap from Drew via Yash.

Angela even admitted that she doesn’t know how the argument will be able to air on TV.
Angela: I cussed her out.
Lala says Haley deserved that.
Angela: They won’t be able to air that on TV #bb28 pic.twitter.com/X90GPMVu6t

With all that in mind, and considering it also spawned a later LaLa-Haley dustup, do we think a reconcilation between these two is in the cards? In a word, no. For her part, Angela is still mad that Haley tried to put Angela on blast in front of Dee, and she thinks that not only did Haley metaphorically stab her with a knife, but she twisted it and rubbed it in all while smiling. I also think she’s right that like and elephant, Haley is unlikely to ever forget.
Angela- I know her (Haley) well enough to know she is not going forgive me and she is definitely not going to forget. I'd hate for us to be up together. Lala- Totally but I really feel like she is going to lose the Block Buster #BB28

You know what’s kind of sad? Haley in the aftermath is showing some Angela-like tendancies for paranoia. In case you guys didn’t know, Haley doesn’t know if she’s had one nice moment in the house. Sad.
According to Haley, Angela made spaghetti to spite her b/c she knows it's her favorite, she says she cant handle anymore of the meanness #bb28 pic.twitter.com/qrxrA722AI

Around the house roundup
In case you didn’t know. when she’s not in the Big Brother house, Angela is a realtor in Utah. And as such, she was holding court and offering the houseguests some free advice.

If you watched Sunday’s episode, you saw that Mallory got her turn in the BB Time Capsule. Unfortunately, she didn’t win a power but her punishment was at least tolerable. It was the Adam & Eve punishment, or in her case Eve & Eve punishment, where she was tethered to Melody for 48 hours. Well, those 48 hours are officially up, and Mallory says she is single and ready to mingle, baby!
Mallory and Melody have finished their punishment. Mallory says hit her up, because Eve is single now #bb28 pic.twitter.com/Yr3EOUFpyy

And finally, wrong answers only: What are Drew and Barrett staring at so intently in the sky?
