Stan joined DraftKings in December of 2020. It was a glorious time, except for that whole COVID thing, when we got Madden streams and boisterous bat flips from the KBO. I was brought on board to bring some West Coast flavor. I especially love hoops, and most of my content is in that arena. When I walk along the beach, strumming my guitar, the beat that I hear is not one of crashing waves. No, it is the beat of the ball bouncing off the hardwood with highs provided by the squeaks of the sneakers. Ball is life.
The New York Mets lost two of three games coming out of the All-Star break but then ran off five in a row. The positive vibes subsided, though, as they split the next 12 games and lost the four most recent contests, including the series opener against the lowly Oakland Athletics. On Wednesday, the Mets […]

Jonathan India ($4,500; 35 FPTS) had been in quite the funk, going hitless in his last five games. On Wednesday, he got off the schneid in glorious fashion, launching two pitches into the bleachers. India got the festivities started with a three-run blast in the third inning. He then hit a solo shot in the […]

Judon was selected in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens. In five seasons, he racked up 34.5 sacks. That production led to a four-year, $56 million payday with the New England Patriots. Judon then proceeded to notch 12.5 and 15.5-sack seasons but only played four games last season due […]

The Chicago White Sox are 28-91 on the season, by far the most inept team in MLB. The Yankees are tied atop the AL East with 70 wins, so of course the White Sox dominated the Yankees, 12-2, on Monday. Five White Sox players had multi-hit games. Andrew Benintendi ($2,300; FPTS) went 2-for-5 with a […]

“2s” were wild on Sunday in Los Angeles, as the Dodgers scored two runs in the first and two runs in the second inning on a double by Teoscar Hernandez ($4,700; 16 FPTS). Andrew McCutchen ($4,300; 32 FPTS) responded by throwing up the peace sign with both hands, as he hit a two-run home run […]

In 2022, Zach Eflin ($7,800; 30.75 FPTS) was signed to a three-year, $40 million contract by the Tampa Bay Rays, the largest free agent deal in franchise history. And he was great, going 16-8 with a 3.01 FIP, 9.42 K/9, 1.22 BB/9 and 0.96 HR/9. Things haven’t been so swell for Eflin this season, though, […]

The final score and stats are not indicative of how this game transpired. Miami got out to a 2-0 with back-to-back homers by Jake Burger ($4,200; 17 FPTS) and Jonah Bride ($2,600; 16 FPTS) in the fourth inning. Edward Cabrera ($6,600; 19.55 FPTS) was great for Miami on the mound, going seven innings, striking out […]

The Jose Berrios ($7,800; 29.55 FPTS) experience used to be Vin Diesel pressing the NOS a quarter mile at a time, as he would routinely strike out around 200 batters a season. Now, it’s more like flying Spirit Airlines with tons of turbulence. The K/9 is 6.83 and the FIP is 5.25 this season. He’s […]

Mookie Betts last played on June 16th, so he’s missed the last 42 games for the Dodgers. Over that span, the Dodgers have slashed .246/.328/.421 with a .175 ISO, while notching a 22-20 record. With Betts, the team slashed .255/.334/.436 with a .181 ISO while going 44-29. Individually, Betts slashed .304/.405/.488 with a .184 ISO. […]

Entering Thursday’s game between the Orioles and Blue Jays, the teams had played 12 games this season, with both winning six. Coming out of the All-Star break, though, Baltimore took three of four in the first series and this current three-game set was split at a game apiece. On Thursday, Toronto got the series win […]
