While Williams has found the paydirt six times this season, he has been lackluster as a rusher. Among the 50 backs who have seen 10+ carries, Williams ranks 38th in rushing success rate and 40th in YPC (3.7).

Williams has only forced six missed tackles on 62 carries and in his first four games, the veteran has rushed for 41, 30, 98 and 62 yards. That latter performance came vs. the Texans last week, who are giving up the fourth-fewest yards per rush this season (4.3). Williams gets an even worse matchup this Thursday vs. the Buccaneers, as this defense is allowing the second-fewest yards per rush (4.1).

Opponents have the second-worst rushing success rate in the NFL when facing Tampa Bay and the most rushing yards they have surrendered to a running back this season is 58 yards from Aaron Jones in Week 3.Yes, the Cowboys are an 8.5-point favorite on DraftKings Sportsbook, but Dallas is a pass-first offense that ranks third in PROE this season and the Buccaneers’ stout rush defense may force the Cowboys to heavily rely on their passing attack, which is bad new for Williams’ chances as a rusher.

This is a very poor matchup for Williams and he should fall short of 73.5 rushing yards, possibly by a comfortable margin.
