Fantasy Football Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em Week 10 Picks

Updated:

By: Jeff Pratt

Over halfway through the 2025 NFL season, it’s time to start stacking wins or you’ll be in serious danger of missing out on the fantasy playoffs. After nine weeks, workloads, target shares, and other trends have been established across the league. With all of that in mind, let’s break down my start/sit Week 10 fantasy football picks.

Quarterbacks

Start ‘Em: Jaxson Dart (New York Giants) at Chicago Bears

No elite playmakers remaining? No problem for the rookie.

Dart has now ascended to QB16 on the year despite not playing the first three weeks of the season. The 22-year-old has racked up at least 23 fantasy points in three of New York’s last four outings, including a 27.2-point performance against the Niners.

Wins may be hard to come by with this decimated offense, but Dart is keeping the Giants in the conversation on a week-to-week basis. The Ole Miss product’s fantasy floor has been bumped due to his elite rushing upside. Dart has found the end zone on the ground in five of his last six contests.

This week, he takes on a Bears defense that allows the seventh-most fantasy points to quarterbacks. Dart profiles as a low-end QB1 with upside to finish top-five at the position on Sunday.

Sit ‘Em: Jordan Love (Green Bay Packers) vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Jordan Love is a perfect example of why being the quarterback of a good NFL team doesn’t always translate to fantasy success. To be fair to Green Bay’s signal caller, he currently ranks as QB11 on the season, which theoretically puts him in week-to-week starting territory.

The problem is, Love’s production has been carried by a couple of strong performances. His floor is decent, it’s just not what you’re looking for from a fantasy quarterback.

Love has failed to record 16 points in three of the Packers’ last four outings, including a season-low 10.02-point performance last week against Carolina. Green Bay ranks outside the top 10 in points per game and its roster doesn’t boast a ton of elite weapons, especially after Tucker Kraft’s season-ending injury.

It’s hard to feel confident in Love’s prospects this week against a tough Eagles defense. The sixth-year quarterback could still be a matchup-dependent stream, just not on Monday night.

Running Backs

Start ‘Em: Kyle Monangai (Chicago Bears) vs. New York Giants

Unsurprisingly, Kyle Monangai’s breakout performance has led to a lot of screaming hot takes on social media. I couldn’t count the amount of people declaring him Chicago’s RB1 moving forward if I had a dozen hands.

To be fair, it’s hard not to be impressed by Monangai’s 26-carry, 176-yard outing in which he also racked up three catches for 22 yards against Cincinnati. The rookie showcased elite burst throughout the entire game.

All of that said, let’s not forget just how great D’Andre Swift has been this season. Still only 26 years old, Swift is averaging 4.6 yards per carry on strong volume.

So, those expecting Monangai to simply take over as the undisputed top back in Chicago will be disappointed. However, the Rutgers product has certainly earned a significant uptick in touches. He checks in as a solid RB2 against a Giants defense that has allowed the third-most fantasy points to running backs.

Sit ‘Em: Jacory Croskey-Merritt (Washington Commanders) vs. Detroit Lions

It’s all going downhill for Bill.

After flashing massive potential on occasion early in the season, Croskey-Merritt has failed to record more than six fantasy points in four straight outings. His start percentage was still shockingly high across most leagues last week despite those numbers, which is indicative of his ceiling.

Unfortunately, it’s finally time to bench the rookie in all fantasy formats until he proves his value consistently. With Jayden Daniels likely done for the season, Washington will likely be forced to abandon the run consistently due to game script moving forward. Bill also simply hasn’t been efficient enough to justify giving him a large workload.

This week, a matchup with the Lions looms. With Marcus Mariota under center, it’s hard to imagine a scenario where Croskey-Merritt sees a ton of touches and produces at a decent rate.

Wide Receivers

Start ‘Em: Quentin Johnston (Los Angeles Chargers) vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Fresh off a goose egg against the Vikings, Johnston got back on track in a huge way in Tennessee. One of the league’s premier big-play threats delivered, catching four balls for 53 yards and a touchdown.

The third-year receiver doesn’t always see an immense target share, but he has now scored six touchdowns on the season and racked up double-digit fantasy points in six of his eight healthy contests.

Johnston does bring some volatility concerns to the table, but he draws an extremely favorable matchup against the Steelers on Sunday night. Pittsburgh is allowing the second-most fantasy points to receivers, putting Johnston firmly in WR2 territory with upside.

Sit ‘Em: Chris Olave (New Orleans Saints) at Carolina Panthers

Through nine weeks, Chris Olave has racked up the second-most targets in the entire league with 87.

Yet, I am telling you to sit him this week.

With Spencer Rattler under center, Olave operated as the safety blanket and pivotal piece in New Orleans’ offense. After Rattler was benched for rookie Tyler Shough, the same cannot be said for Olave’s involvement.

It’s a small sample size, but the target machine only saw four looks from Shough the entire contest against the Rams, catching three of them for 57 yards. It’s clear Kellen Moore is committed to developing Shough, and there will certainly be growing pains. With the Saints already out of the playoff picture, that’s not an issue for the franchise, but it is a problem for fantasy managers with Olave.

As elite as New Orleans’ WR1 has been up to this point, he’s not a strong option against a Panthers team that allows the fourth-fewest fantasy points to receivers.

Tight Ends

Start ‘Em: Kyle Pitts (Atlanta Falcons) at Indianapolis Colts

Pitts may not be the most enthralling option at tight end, but this season the former fourth overall pick has possessed something he lacked in years prior… a strong fantasy floor.

Ranking as TE12 on the year, Pitts has only dropped below 7.7 points once through nine weeks. The 6’6 playmaker has emerged as a key piece in Atlanta’s passing game, amassing 26 targets over the team’s last three outings.

This week, Pitts will look to keep that positive momentum rolling against a Colts side that allows the fourth-most fantasy points to tight ends. The 25-year-old checks in as a solid low-end TE1.

Sit ‘Em: Zach Ertz (Washington Commanders) vs. Detroit Lions

Ertz has been my sit of the week at tight end virtually every contest he has played without Jayden Daniels. Unfortunately for the veteran, it almost always works out. After racking up 66 catches for 654 yards and seven touchdowns last season, the 34-year-old has suffered from inconsistent quarterback play throughout the current campaign.

Ertz has recorded double-digit points just four times this season. Only one of those games came with Marcus Mariota at quarterback. Even with Washington likely having to pass 40-50 times due to game script against the Lions, it’s hard to feel confident in Ertz’s fantasy prospects with the reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year sidelined.
