WR Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em Picks: Fantasy Football Wide Receivers to Start or Sit in Week 10

WR Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em Picks: Fantasy Football Wide Receivers to Start or Sit in Week 10

Published:

By: Jeff Pratt

Almost halfway through the 2025 NFL season, QB-WR rapports, target shares and more have been established among the league’s receiving corps. With all of that in mind, let’s break down my WR start/sit Week 8 fantasy football picks.

Check out my full Week 10 start/sit article with picks at each position here!

Start ‘Em: Alec Pierce (Indianapolis Colts) vs. Atlanta Falcons

Don’t look now, but Alec Pierce is proving to be more than just a deep-ball threat for the Colts. Indy has been forced to throw the ball more over the last few weeks and Pierce has been the primary beneficiary of that tweak.

The fourth-year wideout hauled in 13 of a whopping 28 targets over the last three games for 282 yards. While Pierce still hasn’t found the end zone yet this year, he currently ranks first in yards per catch with 20.9.

This week, Pierce draws a Falcons secondary that has struggled lately after an impressive start. Atlanta just allowed another No. 2 receiver to torch them in DeMario Douglas, who racked up 100 yards and a touchdown. That sets the stage nicely for Pierce to continue his hot streak and possibly even score for the first time. He profiles as a WR2 with upside on Sunday.

Sit ‘Em: Parker Washington (Jacksonville Jaguars) at Houston Texans

Washington has emerged as a key piece in Jacksonville’s passing attack over the last two weeks. The third-year receiver racked up 19 targets, catching 12 of them for 142 yards and firmly putting him on the waiver wire radar. Unfortunately, there signs pointing towards a dip in production both this week and moving forward for the 23-year-old.

A major bump in production for Washington came due to Travis Hunter’ injury, as the wideout was promoted to the No. 2 pass-catcher. Unfortunately, an immediate demotion may be arriving in the form of Jakobi Meyers, who the Jaguars just acquired for a pair of Day 3 NFL Draft picks. Meyers could slide in immediately as a top target for Trevor Lawrence.

Finally, the biggest threat to Washington’s fantasy prospects comes in the form of Jacksonville’s Week 10 matchup. This Texans’ pass-defense is not to be reckoned with, allowing the fourth-fewest passing yards per game and second-fewest fantasy points to receivers. It’s hard to picture consistent production coming Washington’s way on Sunday.

Start ‘Em: Romeo Doubs (Green Bay Packers) vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Yes, it’s true, I did label Jordan Love as my sit of the week at QB. However, if there is one member of Green Bay’s passing attack that should be started in fantasy, it’s Romeo Doubs.

The fourth-year receiver has emerged as Love’s go-to target thanks to a myriad of injuries, and even with Christian Watson now back in the equation it appears to be staying that way. Doubs has amassed double-digit fantasy points in four of the Packers’ last five outings, including a 16.1-point performance last week against Carolina. His target share has also been fantastic, dipping below eight looks just once over that span.

A matchup with Philly’s tough defense awaits, which could result in Green Bay having to turn to the air of Josh Jacobs can’t get anything going in the running game. Regardless of game script, Doubs is in line to play a significant role once again, putting him in high-end WR2 territory.

Sit ‘Em: Chris Olave (New Orleans Saints) at Carolina Panthers

Through nine weeks, Chris Olave has racked up the second-most targets in the entire league with 87.

Yet, I am telling you to sit him this week.

With Spencer Rattler under center, Olave operated as the safety blanket and pivotal piece in New Orleans’ offense. After Rattler was benched for rookie Tyler Shough, the same cannot be said for Olave’s involvement.

It’s a small sample size, but the target machine only saw four looks from Shough the entire contest against the Rams, catching three of them for 57 yards. It’s clear Kellen Moore is committed to developing Shough, and there will certainly be growing pains. With the Saints already out of the playoff picture, that’s not an issue for the franchise. Unfortunately, it is a problem for fantasy managers with Olave.

As elite as New Orleans’ WR1 has been up to this point, he’s not a strong option against a Panthers team that allows the fourth-fewest fantasy points to receivers.

Start ‘Em: Quentin Johnston (Los Angeles Chargers) vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Fresh off a goose egg against the Vikings, Johnston got back on track in a huge way in Tennessee. One of the league’s premier big-play threats delivered, catching four balls for 53 yards and a touchdown.

The third-year receiver doesn’t always see an immense target share, but he has now scored six touchdowns on the season and racked up double-digit fantasy points in six of his eight healthy contests.

Johnston does bring some volatility concerns to the table, but he draws an extremely favorable matchup against the Steelers. Pittsburgh is allowing the second-most fantasy points to receivers, putting Johnston firmly in WR2 territory with upside.

Those are my WR start/sit Week 10 fantasy football picks! Stay tuned for more fantasy football start/sit advice throughout this week.
