Big Brother Live Feed Spoilers: Tuesday Recap from Season 28 Week 8

Rick Devens entered Week 8 sitting atop our power rankings. Now his game may come down to one do-or-die competition.

Tuesday’s live feeds made it clear that Devens will almost certainly be evicted if he fails to win the BB Blockbuster. Barrett wants an Icon out, while even longtime allies Dee and Angela are preparing to vote against him.

Big Brother Season 28 Week 8 Results

Sunday’s episode began Week 8 of the summer-long competition in unusual fashion. Rather than immediately moving to an HOH competition, the houseguests were sent back to medieval times for another twist.

Sunday’s episode ended on a cliffhanger, but if you have been keeping an eye on the live feeds, you know what happened. In the end, Haley could not earn a victory despite having three chances and was eliminated. Dee continued to prioritize Haley over ally Barrett in the medieval twist, further driving him to the other side of the house. Drew went on to win HOH, Yash won the veto comp and Devens was named as a replacement nominee.

Got all that? Good. It will be interesting to see how production jams this all into Wednesday’s episode to set up the most consequential BB Blockbuster and live eviction vote of the season as Devens’ game is on the line and we could see our first Icon go home.

Big Brother Tuesday Live Feed Spoilers

If it wasn’t clear before, it’s certainly clear after Tuesday’s live feeds — if Devens doesn’t win the BB Blockbuster he is going home on Thursday. And we got two important indications that Devens is truly and royally cooked.

First, Barrett confirmed that he is not backtracking — he is now fully anti-Icons. Last week’s turn was not a temporary move. During a cam talk, he said going to Final 3 with Devens would not be fun and channeled Mallory in revealing how he really feels about the Icons right now. He admits he would rather go out eighth taking his shot at the Icons than sticking with them and finishing fifth.

However, what was more surprising was that Dee now seems determined to vote Devens out. Not only is she annoyed with some of the things he’s been saying, but she and Angela have turned their paranoia on Devens, fearing he is now closer to Drew and Barrett than he is them. It’s completely wrong, but it’s how they apparently feel. Their plan as of now is for at least one of them to vote to evict Devens, with the thought being the vote would be 4-2 and they could shift blame to Barrett. Of course, they don’t realize that won’t work since Barrett is going to vote to evict Devens, which would make the vote 5-1. One would think Dee and Angela would not want a repeat of the drama around the Lyric blindside, but here we are.

No matter how it all goes down, the bottom line is Devens has almost no shot to stay unless he can win the Blockbuster. It’s truly do or die for him this week. But it would be very interesting to see whether or not the Icons can band back together if he does pull himself off the block.

Whatever showmance/flirtmance that is going on between Melody and Drew continued late into the night. It seems like there is still distrust and wariness on both sides, but at the very least they clearly like hanging out together. It’s a unique situation to have a showmance where the two parties are on opposite sides of the house. It looked like we might get an HOH sleepover, but Drew actually chose to send Melody back downstairs. It will be interesting to see where this relationship goes once Drew is no longer in power.

Yash won the Power of Veto this week, which has also yet to air on CBS. He elected to use the power on himself, with Drew choosing Devens as a replacement nominee.
