Sunday afternoon’s loaded NFL Week 5 slate features an AFC showdown between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Miami Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium, with kickoff set for 1 p.m. ET.
The Bengals (2–2, 3rd AFC North) have dropped back-to-back games after last week’s 22–17 home loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Dolphins (0–4, 4th AFC East) remain winless after losing 15–10 on the road to the Minnesota Vikings.
Cincinnati is a seven-point road favorite with -345 moneyline odds on DraftKings Sportsbook. Miami is a +275 underdog, with the game total set at O/U 43.5 points.
Let’s dive into the top player prop bets for Sunday’s clash between the Bengals and the Dolphins.
Bengals vs. Dolphins NFL Player Prop Bets for Week 5
Joe Burrow 254+ Pass Yards (-112)
The Bengals could enter Week 5 without either of their star receivers, as both Ja’Marr Chase (concussion) and Tee Higgins (groin/neck) are questionable for Sunday’s contest. Even so, franchise quarterback Joe Burrow remains a solid play to dice up the Dolphins through the air.
The former first overall pick has thrown for 254+ yards in three of his four games this season. Even as Chase and Higgins suffered injuries in Week 4, Burrow completed 39 of 54 passes for a season-high 428 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions. Early in the season, he ranks sixth in the NFL in passing yards (1,171), fifth in completion rate (71.3 percent), and third in completions (112).
While Burrow’s pass-catching options could be limited without Chase or Higgins, rookie receiver Dohnte Meyers showed promise against the Jaguars — as did Chase Brown. The team’s lead running back hauled in all 11 targets for an impressive 71 yards. Facing a porous Miami defense that ranks T-30th in opponent yards per pass attempt (8.3) and dead last in quarterback completion rate (77.9 percent), Burrow should cover significant ground regardless of who he’s throwing to.
Ollie Gordon II Under 43.5 Rush Yards (-109)
Ollie Gordon II made the most of his limited opportunities in Week 4, handing a team-high nine carries for 100 yards (11.1 YPC) and a touchdown against the Vikings. That said, the second-year running back played only 56 percent of Miami’s offensive snaps, and a 53-yard long inflated his overall numbers.
Gordon saw a season-high 17 carries after star De’Von Achane went down in Week 3 against the Chiefs, converting those opportunities into just 41 yards (2.4 YPC), albeit with a touchdown. He may run into similar trouble against a Bengals defense that has allowed the NFL’s third-fewest rush attempts (69) and ninth-fewest rush yards (313) to opposing RBs this season.
