Prediction, pick for Norbert Novenyi Jr. vs. Theo Haig at DWCS Season 10, Week 7

A three-round Middleweight contest between Norbert Novenyi Jr. vs. Theo Haig headlines this week’s episode of Dana White’s Contender Series. Both fighters have one career loss, while Novenyi has 10 wins and Haig has seven. DWCS takes place in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the Meta Apex and begins at 7:00 p.m. ET on Paramount+.

Norbert Novenyi Jr. Round 1 (-135)

Novenyi enters Dana White’s Contender Series with plenty of experience, having competed in Bellator from 2018 to 2024. His lone loss came against Dalton Rosta in June 2024, which was his final fight in Bellator. Since leaving Bellator, Novenyi has won three straight fights in the first round by knockout or submission. Novenyi’s previous three wins came in Hexagone MMA, a popular regional promotion in Paris, France. 

Haig, 30, is making his second appearance on this show after suffering a first-round knockout loss to Cezary Oleksiejczuk at DWCS in September 2025. After losing on DWCS, Haig scored a second-round submission over Lance Wright at LFA 227 in February. Haig has a 100 percent finish rate, with all seven of his victories coming by submission. 

In this fight, Haig has a two-inch advantage in height (6’2″ vs. 6’0″) and standing reach (77″ vs. 75″) over Novenyi. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Novenyi Jr. is a -425 favorite with Haig as a +330 underdog. This contest is -1200 not to go the distance, while Novenyi is -185 to score a knockout. The total is set at 1.5 rounds with the under at -280. 

Novenyi’s previous three wins and eight of his 10 victories have come in the first round. Although Haig is superb on the ground, I favor Novenyi in this contest due to his versatility, as he is skilled everywhere. Because Haig is primarily a wrestler, he may be predictable, and Novenyi will know his game plan. Novenyi is -135 to win the first round against Haig.
