Two surging Middleweight prospects, Martin Kozak and Christian Echols, will face off on tonight’s edition of Dana White’s Contender Series. DWCS is taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the Meta Apex and airs live on Paramount+ beginning at 7:00 p.m. ET. This is the third fight on tonight’s Dana White’s Contender Series card.

Check out my best bet below for Martin Kozak vs. Christian Echols at tonight’s edition of Dana White’s Contender Series.

Martin Kozak Round 1 (-135)

Kozak is one of five undefeated fighters on tonight’s card. He is 6-0 with six finishes in his MMA career, which began a little over two years ago. Kozak is attempting to become the fifth fighter in the UFC from Slovakia. Ludovit Klein, Martin Buday, Vlasto Cepo, and Lucia Szabova are the four current fighters on the UFC roster hailing from Slovakia. Kozak also found a ton of success as an amateur, a trend among fighters on tonight’s card. Including his amateur career, Kozak is 12-0 in MMA.

Originally, Kozak was scheduled to face Juan Cabrera at this event, but after visa issues, Christian Echols stepped up on short notice. Echols is 8-4 with eight finishes and is coming off a knockout over Brian Jackson at CFC 6 in November 2025. He is 4-1 in his previous five fights and has scored a finish following both of his career losses.

Kozak is the biggest favorite on this week’s DWCS card at -575, while Echols is the underdog at +425 on DraftKings Sportsbook. Physically, this is a complete mismatch: Kozak is seven inches taller (6’4″ vs. 5’9″) and has a seven-inch reach advantage (73″ vs. 66″).

With Kozak being much bigger, he should be able to come out and dictate the pace of this fight. If Kozak pressures Echols early in this contest, it is unlikely Echols will be able to bounce back. Kozak has won three of his six fights in the first round and should look for another finish in the first five minutes with a UFC contract up for grabs.
