Big Brother Season 28 Week 2 Results
Sunday’s episode began Week 2 of the summer-long competition, as a new Head of Household was crowned. The Crossovers dominated Week 1, and it looks like they’re only going to get more powerful, with yet another member of that alliance in the HOH room this week. That’s right, Rick Devens won the HOH competition, keeping the combined alliance of the Crossovers and the Red Corner — now known together as the Toolshed — firmly at the top of the game.
- Head of Household: Rick Devens
- Power of Veto winner: Rick Devens
- Nominees: Jason, Melody and Rome (Lyric taken off the block)
- Evicted last week: Ashley
- Remaining players: 16
- Next episode: Thursday, July 23 (BB Blockbuster competition and Live Eviction vote)
Big Brother Wednesday Live Feed recap
Making their pitch
With eviction night looming, houseguests and their allies are making their pitch to stay in the game. It seems all but certain that one of Rome or Jason will likely be heading home tonight. Somewhat interestingly, Taylor seems to be working on finding a way to keep both and envisions a scenario where Rome wins the Blockbuster and Jason wins the vote. Other houseguests don’t share her perspective, however.
Barrett is telling Mallory about Taylor thinking she has the votes to keep Jason over Melody if she can just get Haley’s vote. Barrett says Taylor does not have the votes and he tried to warned Taylor. Barrett suggests Mallory warns Melody about this. Mallory says she isn’t going… pic.twitter.com/XHITONvgU9

Jason also thinks there is a world where he survives a vote. I don’t agree with him, but he’s entitled to his opinion and to play his game however he wants. And he already has grand plans for a world in which he, Rome and Lyric are still in the game next week.
Lyric: Do you think Rome is smitten as a kitten with me?
Jason: Yes of course.
Lyric says her, Jason or Rome will win HOH next week and then all 3 of them can sleep in the HOH bed. Again, if Jason or Rome wins HOH next week, then the other will be sleeping in their bed at home… pic.twitter.com/O3RPPbK0dO

If you read my Wednesday recap, then you know that Rome promised that the “real” Rome is gonna come out to play and win his way off the block in the BB Blockbuster. With that in mind, he didn’t seem to be doing much campaigning in the house should it come down to a vote. He did however begin to make preparations and a gesture to a fellow houseguest just in case.

And Lyric, who is TOTALLY unbiased guys, isn’t afraid to say outloud that she would be OK if her nominal ally Melody is the one to go home this week.
Lyric: Honestly, this sounds terrible, but Meldody is not going to win anything for us. And she's also bad for my game because she's similar to me, you know? #bb28 pic.twitter.com/hJlZ1hY9m5

Showmance update
Now that Lyric is officially off the block, the ruse of Rome and Lyric breaking up is out the window. Most of the house didn’t believe it, but it was real to Chuk damnit.
Chuk just found out Lyric has been playing in his face & Rome / Lyric have been suckin face the whole time #BB28 pic.twitter.com/gfoz5dnEhJ

As for the lovebirds in question, Rome is back to lovebombing Lyric unabashedly in the havenot room. He continues to muse about a life outside the game with Lyric and even has thoughts about how he might plan to propose to her — am I taking crazy pills, these two have known each other for TWO WEEKS!
Rome says he feels like home to Lyric and she agrees. Rome says he has never been to Rome. Jason says they should all go. Rome says he could propose to Lyric there #bb28 pic.twitter.com/dcCjSkixre

In other matters of love, Drew and Melody … is something going on there? Hmmm? HMMM?
What the hell, sure 🤷 #BB28 pic.twitter.com/vA93Ness48

Trouble in the Toolshed
I continue to be flabbergasted by Angela and Dee twisting themselves into knots in order to find ways to get worked up about Drew. The kid has continuously said he is 100 percent loyal to the Crossovers — not even the Toolshed mega-alliance, but the smaller Crossovers — and followed up those words with actions by delivering key information to his allies. Yet, they continue to distrust and plot against him. Now they’re even spreading the paranoia to other members of the Toolshed!
Dee and Angela have got Chuk paranoid about Drew too. Haley says Drew is a kid. Dee says Drew is a baby, but he is smarter than all of them. Chuk says Drew is thinking with his D. #bb28 pic.twitter.com/tkWjvHAkta
— Big Brother Tea (@TheBigBroTea) July 23, 2026
It seemed like Devens was going to be Drew’s greatest ally in the game, but Wednesday’s episode even had him questioning Drew’s loyalty, especially when it came to Melody. So Drew probably needs to be on the lookout for potential danger ahead.
Dee and Angela’s paranoid is not just limited to Drew anymore, however, as now Barrett is also not above reproach. Dee feels like the flow of information has stopped with him and is ready to see exactly where he stands.
Dee tells Angela and Haley she’s tired of Barrett talking in circles and withholding information. Once he finishes speaking with Mallory and Taylor, she plans to pull him aside and ask what the conversation was about. #BigBrother #BigBrotherBuzz #BB28

And despite all their paranoia about Drew and Barrett, it turns out it’s Haley that the reality TV vets should really be worried about.

Around the house roundup
Poor Angela. It’s a good sign that America liked her enough to send her into the BB Time Capsule for a chance to win a power, but failing and earning a punishment has led to a rough week. Not so egg-celent times for the Big Brother veteran.

It must be tough being stuck with a group of strangers for hours on end with little to nothing to do to distract yourself. However, it looks like the houseguests have found ways to keep themselves entertained.

Speaking of Yash, you know, he might not be my favorite (or 14th favorite) houseguest … and he might be getting played a little bit … and he might have some truly terrible takes … but at least he’s good for some entertainment around the house.
Rick Devens tells Dee about Yash thinking he was going to be voted into the BB Time Capsule because of “his storyline”. Dee is GAGGED.
