Home runs. Long balls. Bleacher reachers. Whatever you want to call them, people love watching and betting on home run props during baseball games. So much so, we’ve got a whole article dedicated to just that.
Here are my top two home run prop picks on DraftKings Sportsbook for Tuesday’s all-important World Baseball Classic slate: Kyle Schwarber and Heliot Ramos.
Top World Baseball Classic Home Run Props
Heliot Ramos 1+ Home Run (+550)
It has not been the kindest weather week in San Juan. Pool A has been plagued by rain delays, while a vicious wind coming in from left field has neutralized quite a bit of right-handed power. That’s part of the reason why Puerto Rico has only managed a single home run across its three games entering play on Tuesday — though that one long ball was a massive extra innings walk-off for Darell Hernaiz (+700). All that said, I think tonight presents as a very nice opportunity for Heliot Ramos to find the seats for the first time in this tournament. Jordan Balazovic will start for Canada, a man who spent all of 2025 in Triple-A for the Tigers. When Balazovic did get his chance at the MLB level as a reliever with Minnesota in 2023, he surrendered a whopping 1.85 opponent home runs per nine over his 18 appearances. Then there’s the Canadians’ bullpen. Not only are relievers the clear weak-spot for Canada at the WBC, but a majority of them are left-handed. That lines up perfectly for Ramos. In his 312 plate appearances versus LHPs since the beginning of 2024, Ramos is slashing .300/.369/.549 with a .249 ISO. He simply crushes southpaws.
Kyle Schwarber 1+ Home Run (+220)
While Italy hasn’t officially named a starter for tonight’s tilt against the USA, it would make sense to save Aaron Nola for what’s lining up as a must-win contest against Mexico on Wednesday. If that’s the case, it’ll be Michael Lorenzen on Tuesday night in Houston, or a bullpen game. Either way, I like Kyle Schwarber to go deep at these odds. The All-Star has been amazing in his three prior games at this World Baseball Classic, slashing .417/.563/.667 with a home run in 16 plate appearances. Schwarber’s also really improved in left-on-left matchups — he managed a .346 ISO and a 162 wRC+ within the split in 2025 — so I have no issue trusting him in a contest where Italy might use five or six different arms. Still, it would be really fun if the Italians did start Lorenzen. While he’d technically be the first MLB-caliber starter that the Americans have seen all tournament, Schwarber’s owned the RHP throughout their careers, producing a pair of home runs and a 1.194 OPS in 24 at-bats. Lorenzen just signed with the Rockies. He’s going to give up so many long balls in 2026. Might as well start that trend a little early at the WBC.
