College Basketball prediction, pick for BYU vs. Dayton on Friday 11/28/25

Tonight, the BYU Cougars take on the Dayton Flyers at 9:30 p.m. ET in the Terry’s Chocolate ESPN Events Invitational Championship for the Magic Bracket. BYU beat Dayton 79-75 in their lone matchup in November 2022. Dayton is 6-1 while BYU enters this matchup with a 5-1 record.

On DraftKings Sportsbook, BYU is a -9.5 point favorite with the over/under being set at 151.5. Here is my best bet for tonight’s BYU vs. Dayton game.

BYU vs. Dayton (9:30 p.m. ET)

After losing to UConn on November 15, BYU has bounced back well, winning two straight games. The Cougars beat Wisconsin by 28 points and Miami by 10 points yesterday. Dayton is coming off an overtime 84-79 victory over Georgetown. They have won four straight games after suffering their first loss of the season against Cincinnati on November 11.

On KenPom, BYU is ranked No. 9 while Dayton is No. 68. Dayton also has the 98th-best offensive rating, while BYU’s is the sixth-best in college basketball. The Flyers have only scored 84 or fewer points in their previous six games. Even though BYU scored only 72 points against Miami, it has shown elite offensive upside this season.

AJ Dybantsa and Richie Saunders are the best two players in this game and will create major matchup problems for Dayton. BYU’s previous four victories have been by at least 10 points, and it has all the tools to keep rolling against Dayton and cover the -9.5 spread.

College Basketball Pick: BYU -9.5 (-105)
