Here’s some MLB picks, props and ALCS Game 7 predictions to consider for October 20.
MLB Odds & Storylines
After losing the first two games of this series at home, the Blue Jays have battled all the way back to force a winner-take-all Game 7. The Blue Jays are a -132 favorite on the Moneyline on DraftKings Sportsbook, with the run total set at 7.5. With the momentum seemingly swung in their favor, perhaps it’s unsurprising to see that according to the DraftKings Network Betting Splits, 59% of bets and 69% of the handle are going to Toronto. At the same time, 71% of the handle and 74% of bets are on the over on the run total. That shouldn’t be too surprising, as 10 of the last 11 games between these two teams have gone over the total runs line. In fact, in his game preview, Cooper Albers names Over 7.5 Runs (-119) as his best bet.
George Kirby takes the ball for the Mariners after a tough outing in Game 3 where he gave up eight earned runs on eight hits in four innings pitched. His ERA for the postseason now sits at 7.07 and he has 18 strikeouts. On the other side, Toronto turns to Shane Bieber, who picked up the win in Game 3 giving up two earned runs on four hits in six innings pitched.
In his Top Home Run Props article, Garion Thorne says that to call the Mariners home run dependent in this ALCS would be a massive understatement. To that end, Garion highlights Eugenio Suarez 1+ Home Run (+433). He points out that Suarez is at his best in 2025 in same-hand matchups, possessing a .301 ISO and a 137 wRC+ against RHPs. Meanwhile, Bieber has been hurt by the home run since returning from Tommy John surgery — especially by opposing RHBs. Meanwhile, if you’re looking for other Seattle plays, I have two for you to consider:
- Randy Arozarena has recorded at least one single in five of the Mariners’ last six road games (Alt Singles Randy Arozarena 1+ +142).
- The Mariners have led after 3 innings in nine of their last 13 road games (Seattle Mariners Lead After 3 Innings -110).
When looking at the Blue Jays side, it’s hard to ignore the impact that Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is having. Vladdy has homered in three of the Jays’ last four games (Vladimir Guerrero Jr. To Hit A Home Run +309) and is one of three Jays to take Kirby deep (Vlad, George Springer and Andres Gimenez). Speaking of Springer, the UConn product has recorded an RBI in three of the Blue Jays’ last four games against opponents that held a winning record (George Springer 1+ Alt RBIs +166). And also keep in mind that Isiah Kiner-Falefa has recorded at least one RBI in each of his last six appearances with his team as a home favorite against the Mariners (Isiah Kiner-Falefa 1+ Alt RBIs +288).
