WNBA Best Bets Today: Top Picks for Thursday 5/22/25

The WNBA season continues Thursday with a two-game slate. The Atlanta Dream are hosting the Indiana Fever and the Chicago Sky are hosting the New York Liberty. Below, I have featured two of my favorite bets for Thursday’s WNBA action on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Caitlin Clark O 3.5 Made Three Pointers (-130)

Clark has been lights out from beyond the arc so far this season. Through her first two starts, she is leading the WNBA with 4.5 made three pointers on 9.5 attempts per game. This results in a 47.4% on three pointers for Clark and she has hit 4+ three pointers in each of these first two starts. With 58% of Clark’s field goals attempts being three pointers, it seems to be a point of emphasis for her to be extremely active from distance this season.

The superstar is leading the Fever with a 25.4% usage rate and 30 minutes per game this season, and Thursday presents an elite matchup for Clark, going against the Dream. Atlanta ranks dead last in defensive rating this season and they are allowing their opponents to hit three pointers at the highest clip in the WNBA. Clark could go crazy from deep in this mouthwatering matchup and she is a sensational bet for 3.5 made three pointers.

Courtney Vandersloot U 7.5 Points (-105)

In her first start back with the Sky this past Saturday, Vandersloot struggled, shooting 2-of-9 from the field for only four points against the Fever. The guard logged 28 minutes, but Vandersloot’s usage was at a low 13.8%, which ranked dead last for the entire Chicago roster. At 36-years-old, Vandersloot will primarily act as a playmaker for Sky in her second stint with the team this season. Her usage is likely to be low on a regular basis, playing alongside the ball dominant Angel Reese.

Vandersloot will be facing her former team in the Liberty tonight, but we shouldn’t expect a notable revenge performance from the veteran. In her 32 games over the last two seasons, Vandersloot is only averaging 6.3 PPG. The Sky are a 12-point underdog for this matchup on DraftKings Sportsbook and Chicago’s implied team total is at a low 75.5 points, which is easily the lowest of the four WNBA teams in action Thursday. Vandersloot should have a quiet outing and is a strong bet for under 7.5 points at this favorable -105 price.
