For the second straight week, the most dangerous player in Big Brother Season 28 survived an eviction she should have lost, and Drew was the deciding vote who kept her alive. Yash is in jury. Barrett is in jury. And Dee — the player who put Drew on the block, questioned his loyalty all season, evicted two of his closest allies and has already started plotting against him — is still in the house, still at No. 1 in our power rankings, and still on a path that could make her the first person to win both Survivor and Big Brother.

Here’s everything to know about Sunday’s episode, including the air time, how to watch and what to expect as the Final Five compete for HOH with two weeks left in the season.

What happened last time on Big Brother Season 28?

Thursday’s two-hour double eviction reshaped the entire game. Melody won the final BB Blockbuster of the season, saving herself and leaving Barrett and Taylor on the block. Barrett was evicted 3-1, with Drew honoring his secret deal with Yash by voting to protect Taylor. Only Melody voted to save Barrett.

The second round moved fast. Melody won HOH in a “Bleeping Through Time” booth competition and immediately nominated Dee and Devens. Devens won the veto in a “Great Ball of China” puzzle/ball roll challenge, taking himself off the block. Melody named Yash as the replacement, and the deciding vote came down to Drew.

Yash made a direct plea — promising to run to the end with Drew if he kept him. Dee took the opposite approach, arguing Yash was the stronger competitor without directly pitching Drew. Drew hesitated, visibly conflicted, then voted to evict Yash. The comp beast who hated Drew more than anyone in the house was sent to jury by the person he’d just made a deal with earlier this week.

The power rankings called that vote a mistake. Dee has put Drew on the block, questioned his loyalty all season, spearheaded the evictions of Mallory and Barrett, and isn’t close to his No. 1 ally Melody. Despite all of that, Drew saved her. And Dee was already talking to Devens about cutting Drew before the night was over.

Yash left with one final dig — he still didn’t respect Drew’s game. But he took the high road otherwise, exiting with his $5,000 BB Bribe money and the reputation of an all-time comp beast.

What to expect in Big Brother Season 28 Episode 37

The HOH competition — Final Five

Melody is ineligible as outgoing HOH, leaving four competitors: Dee, Devens, Drew and Taylor. This is a two-on-two battle in theory — Dee and Devens as the Survivor Icons versus Drew and Taylor as the remaining newbies — but the actual dynamics are messier than that.

Dee and Devens are the power rankings‘ 1-2 favorites to win the season. If either wins HOH, the nominations could be some combination of Drew, Melody and Taylor. The Icons have been talking about separating the showmance (Drew and Melody), and Melody just put both of them on the block Thursday night — giving them a fresh reason to target her.

If Drew wins, he faces the question he’s dodged all season: does he finally take a shot at the Icons? He saved Dee twice in the last two weeks. The power rankings said both times were mistakes. At some point, loyalty without reciprocation stops being loyalty and starts being self-destruction. But Drew has been loyal to the Icons to a fault for 10 weeks, and the power rankings aren’t confident he’d change now.

If Taylor wins, the Icons could be in danger. She voted to evict Dee on Thursday (against Yash), and has been targeting them all season long. However, with Yash gone, Taylor is alone on an island — and the Icons may be more useful to her as allies than as targets, as she did recently form an alliance with them and Yash. Or she could see this as her window to make a move.

Dee’s unbreakable run

Dee should have been the first Icon evicted during Barrett’s HOH. She talked Yash and Taylor into keeping her over Angela. She should have been evicted Thursday when Melody put her on the block. Drew saved her over Yash. Two weeks in a row, the house had Dee dead to rights and she walked away.

The power rankings laid out the absurdity: Dee put Drew on the block, questioned his loyalty all season, called him out during her eviction speech last week, barely spends time with him, and already pushed out two of his closest allies. Drew saved her anyway. Dee convinced Drew in a compressed double-eviction timeframe that Yash was the bigger threat — despite Yash literally making a deal with Drew just days earlier.

Dee acknowledged in the diary room that she has a history of turning on alliances the moment they’re formed. She named The Culture with Yash, Taylor and Devens, then told Devens she wanted to cut Yash at the first opportunity. Now Yash is gone and Dee is already talking about cutting Drew. The power rankings‘ verdict: if the newbies can’t see the forest for the trees and allow her to hang around, Dee could become the first person to win both Survivor and Big Brother.

Melody’s moment — and its consequences

Melody went 2-for-2 on Thursday, winning the final BB Blockbuster and the double eviction HOH in the same night. She went from likely going home to reshaping the game by getting Yash evicted. It was the best individual performance by a newbie all season.

The problem is those wins may have made Melody more of a target than Taylor. Before Thursday, both women had thin competition resumes, making them interchangeable options for an Icon to drag to a Final Two. Now Melody has back-to-back comp wins and a major threat’s eviction on her resume. She’s no longer the easy opponent — which, paradoxically, makes her more expendable to the Icons.

Melody is also tied to Drew. The Icons have been talking about separating the showmance for weeks, and with Melody ineligible for HOH, she has no protection this round. Her best-case scenario is Drew winning HOH. Her worst case is an Icon win followed by a Melody-Drew nomination that forces the house to choose between the couple’s two halves.

Taylor without Yash

Taylor lost her closest ally and is alone for the first time since the early weeks of the season. The power rankings bumped her to No. 3, arguing that her lack of an obvious resume might actually help her — the Icons could view her as an easier opponent to beat in a Final Two than anyone else remaining.

Taylor has to navigate carefully. She has no love lost with Drew, which was vocal enough during the game that it may have contributed to Drew voting Yash out — Taylor’s open hatred of Drew likely made Yash’s promise to “run it to the end” with Drew feel less believable. Now Taylor needs Drew (or at least needs Drew not to target her), and the friction between them could become a liability.

There’s talk of a potential women’s alliance between Dee, Taylor and Melody. If it materializes, it would represent a 3-2 majority in the Final Five. But Dee forming another alliance she intends to betray would surprise no one at this point.

Drew at the bottom

Drew dropped to No. 5 in the power rankings — dead last among the Final Five. The power rankings acknowledged the upside of Melody surviving and thriving on Thursday, but said Drew made a clear mistake by keeping Dee over Yash.

The critique is specific: Dee is cold-blooded. Saving her guarantees nothing. She has already been talking to Devens about cutting Drew. And Yash made a direct plea to run to the end together while Dee didn’t even bother pitching Drew directly — she knew she didn’t have to. Drew is gonna Drew, the power rankings concluded, which means being loyal to a fault to the Icons even when they don’t reciprocate.

Devens is the one Icon relationship Drew might still be able to leverage. There’s been talk of a potential “father-son” Final Two, and Devens went out of his way to lift Barrett’s spirits during the week, suggesting a genuine fondness for his “sons.” But Dee is already floating the idea of cutting Devens, and if she gets to him first, Drew’s last connection to the Icon power structure disappears.
