Barrett stopped pretending. All three Icons — Dee, Devens and Angela — are on the block together for the first time in Big Brother Season 28, and the veto competition is BB Comics.
One of them can save themselves Wednesday night, but the other two stay nominated, and the cracks that surfaced Sunday suggest they may not survive the week as a unit.
Here’s everything to know about tonight’s episode, including the air time, how to watch and what to expect from the biggest Power of Veto competition of the season.
What happened last time on Big Brother Season 28?
Barrett won the HOH competition in “Rainbow Rollers,” a ball-rolling challenge where he beat Dee after discovering a wall-bounce technique that gave him more control. He immediately told Drew he’d keep him and Melody safe — and that after those two, things could get a little weird.
Barrett then put all three Icons on the block, calling them the three biggest threats in the house with a built-in bond. Devens tried to talk him out of it, pitching a Final Three with Barrett and Drew as their clearest path to the end. Barrett admitted Devens nearly swayed him, but said the conversation ultimately made him more determined to follow through.
The Icons did not handle it well. Devens and Angela got into a fight in the backyard and subsequently said some harsh words about the other to themselves: he called her a psycho and said she lives in a fantasyland, while she called him an SOB. Angela went to Barrett looking for reassurance that the Icons would be safe and instead got confirmation they were all going up. She told him she took it personally. Dee said Barrett just made a huge mistake pissing off a Latina and promised his time on the block would come.
Before Barrett announced his nominations, the Icons made one last play — blowing up the full terms of Yash’s BB Bribe deal in a house meeting. The deal protects all three Icons during Yash’s next HOH, not just Dee. Yash tried to lie and say it only covered Dee. Taylor defended Yash, saying the Icons bullied him into it. Drew didn’t care who was lying — he just wanted to push his anti-Yash agenda. The reveal made Yash sweat and sowed the seeds of discord among his allies, but it didn’t change Barrett’s nominations.

What to expect on Big Brother tonight
BB Comics
Wednesday’s veto competition is BB Comics — one of the most iconic recurring competitions in Big Brother history. It typically involves houseguests studying comic book covers featuring caricatures of every player, then racing to arrange them in the correct order on a wall. It rewards memory, speed and attention to detail.
For the Icons, this is survival. At least one of Dee, Devens or Angela must win the veto or all three stay on the block heading into Thursday’s BB Blockbuster and live eviction vote. For Barrett and the anti-Icon side, the goal is simple — keep the nominations the same.
The veto draw will determine who competes beyond the three nominees and Barrett as HOH. If Drew is drawn, the Icons gain an ally in the competition. If Yash, Melody or Taylor is drawn, Barrett’s side adds another competitor working to keep the block intact.
The Icons fighting for their lives — and with each other
The Icons have dominated Big Brother Season 28 from the jump. They’ve been safe or in power nearly every week, orchestrated almost every major eviction, and built an alliance structure that kept them insulated from danger. Sunday was the first time all season they faced genuine adversity, and they immediately turned on each other.
Devens and Angela’s backyard fight revealed cracks in the Icons’ foundation. He thinks she’s paranoid and living in a fantasy about their position in the house. She thinks he’s tighter with Drew and Barrett than with her and Dee. They left the conversation calling each other names under their breath.
Dee and Devens were already drifting before Barrett’s HOH. She was paranoid about him spending too much time with Drew and Barrett. He told the diary room he doesn’t want Dee in his Final Two. Now they’re both nominated, and Dee’s instinct heading into the week was to break up the Devens-Drew-Barrett triangle — a triangle that currently has one member as HOH and another sitting next to her on the block.
If an Icon wins the veto, the question becomes whether the other two can stay unified or whether the cracks deepen. Devens and Angela are blowing up at each other. Dee is questioning her own No. 1 ally. The Icons have spent all season as the hunters — being hunted together for the first time is exposing every fault line.
The BB Bribe fallout
Devens’ house meeting gambit didn’t change the nominations, but it accomplished something else — it put Yash’s deal with the Icons into the open where everyone can see it. Taylor, Melody and Barrett now know that if Yash wins the next HOH, he can’t nominate any of the three Icons. That information matters. Unless it doesn’t because the other side believes Yash’s lies.
In the short term, Yash’s allies defended him. Taylor said the Icons bullied him into it and he got $5,000 for his trouble. But the power rankings noted the longer-term concern: what happens the next time Yash wins HOH and has to nominate one of his own allies instead of an Icon? Barrett wasn’t thrilled to learn he wasn’t included in the protection. Melody and Taylor could end up as collateral if Yash holds power.
The Icons threw this grenade as a desperation play, and it may have a longer fuse than anyone realizes.
Drew in no-man’s land
Drew is safe this week, but he’s running out of road. Barrett kept him off the block and told him he was safe alongside Melody. But Drew’s reaction to Barrett’s HOH has been telling — he was thrilled his buddy won, then immediately uncomfortable when Barrett said things could get weird for the Crossovers.
Drew spent his own HOH protecting the Icons. Barrett is using his to blow them up. The two supposed allies are playing completely different games, and Barrett’s nominations have forced the question Drew has avoided all season: which side is he actually on?
If an Icon wins the veto, Drew could end up as the replacement nominee. If no Icon wins, Drew has to vote — and voting to keep an Icon means voting against Barrett’s HOH, which could damage whatever remains of their relationship, not to mention that of his relationship with Melody. Drew has been following orders since Week 1. For the first time, there are no safe orders to follow.
