UPDATE 9:49 PM ET: Mason did join the 49ers sideline with around 30 seconds left in the halftime and was in the game for the first play of the second half, rushing nine yards. Mason did go back to the sideline on the next play, though, and was seen rotating his shoulder. Guerendo was in the next two plays.

With 9:37 left in the second quarter of Thursday night’s game against the Seahawks, Jordan Mason took a pitch to the left side of the field and then turned upfield for 14 yards. Unfortunately, he looked to have suffered an injury as he landed on his left side after getting tackled. After lying on the field for a few minutes, Mason was able to walk off on his own but went directly into the locker room.

Prior to exiting, Mason carried eight times for 65 yards, rushing for 34 yards over expectations. He is now officially listed as questionable with a shoulder injury.

Isaac Guerendo was the replacement for Mason, and he should garner most of the snaps at running back. Patrick Taylor Jr. would be his backup. On the season, Guerendo has rushed 12 times for 41 yards.

Deebo Samuel would likely get some extra carries if Mason misses time.

Stan joined DraftKings in December of 2020. It was a glorious time, except for that whole COVID thing, when we got Madden streams and boisterous bat flips from the KBO. I was brought on board to bring some West Coast flavor. I especially love hoops, and most of my content is in that arena. When I walk along the beach, strumming my guitar, the beat that I hear is not one of crashing waves. No, it is the beat of the ball bouncing off the hardwood with highs provided by the squeaks of the sneakers. Ball is life.
