It’s been a disastrous week for the Los Angeles Lakers, with three blowout losses in four games, arguably the worst shooting slump of LeBron James’ career, and — somehow — questions about JJ Redick’s head coaching chops just 20 games into his career. Los Angeles will have an opportunity to turn it around tonight against […]

The Minnesota Timberwolves have had a good week. On Monday, they took down the Los Angeles Lakers, 109-80, then nearly replicated that performance on Wednesday against the Clippers, beating the other half of LA 108-80. The truest test of Minnesota’s newfound form will come tonight in San Francisco, as the 13-8 Golden State Warriors welcome […]

Non-tournament Fridays are back! After the last few Fridays were dedicated to Emirates NBA Cup action, no-frills NBA basketball is the name of the game today, with a seven-game slate featuring, among others, the red-hot Milwaukee Bucks taking on the defending champion Boston Celtics and an ultimate race-to-the-bottom battle between the Portland Trail Blazers and […]

In a disastrous season for the Dallas Cowboys, there has been one constant: CeeDee Lamb playing, and playing well. The First-Team All-Pro receiver has only missed one game in his five-year NFL career, a remarkable durability streak that looked to be in jeopardy, as a sprained AC joint has limited him in practice this week. […]

The Sacramento Kings, with a 10-12 record, would be the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference if the season ended today. But, unfortunately for the Kings, they play in the West, where their season has them sitting in 12th instead. Sacramento will look to close the gap between itself and the playoff picture as it […]

Three things are guaranteed in life: death, taxes, and Devin Booker being a walking bucket. Since his rookie season, the Phoenix Suns guard has never averaged fewer than 22 points per game. The tenth-year pro should have a golden opportunity to score in bunches on Thursday, as the Suns travel to New Orleans to take […]

NBA fans generally expected there to be at least one young Southwestern Division team hovering near the top of the Western Conference standings. The Oklahoma City Thunder, unsurprisingly, top the conference so far. But just a game and a half behind them are the breakout Houston Rockets, who are humming on all cylinders. Part of […]

LA Clippers shooting guard Norman Powell has been one of the positive surprises of the 2024-25 season so far, stepping seamlessly into the vacancy left in the Clippers starting lineup by the departure of forward Paul George, who joined the Philadelphia 76ers in free agency. The ten-year veteran has enjoyed the best season of his […]

Wednesday night’s matchup between the Indiana Pacers and Brooklyn Nets marks two teams desperately trying to stop a slide. Each team has lost three consecutive games and both sit in the play-in picture a quarter of the way through the season. Each team’s fans might be equally unhappy, but for different reasons; after the Nets […]

To say that this season for the New York Jets hasn’t gone quite to plan would be an understatement. After entering the season with Super Bowl aspirations, the Jets have limped to a 3-9 start and are virtually eliminated from playoff contention. Running back Breece Hall ($7,000 Play-Action) hasn’t been immune to the team’s struggles […]

On Wednesday night, two of the hottest teams in basketball will meet. The Milwaukee Bucks’ seven consecutive wins mark the longest active streak in the league, while the Atlanta Hawks’ four-game streak is the third-longest. Atlanta’s point guard, Trae Young, has been icy to start the season, and not in a good way. Young’s scoring […]
