On Wednesday night, two of the hottest teams in basketball will meet. The Milwaukee Bucks’ seven consecutive wins mark the longest active streak in the league, while the Atlanta Hawks’ four-game streak is the third-longest.
Atlanta’s point guard, Trae Young, has been icy to start the season, and not in a good way. Young’s scoring average — 20.9 points per game — is his lowest since his rookie season, and his 38.8% from the field is the worst of his career. Still, the three-time All-Star has been making his impact felt in other ways, as he’s currently leading the league with a career-high 12.2 assists per game.

With Milwaukee forward Giannis Antetokounmpo serving as one of the league’s most intimidating interior defenders, Young will be more disincentivized from driving. With his six-foot-one, 164-pound frame, Young is one of the league’s worst finishers, shooting just 50% from inside five feet. In the first of the team’s two matchups last season, Young hoisted 13 three-point attempts, one of his most prolific deep shooting nights of the year.
