Of the NFL’s four Divisional Round games, probably the most exciting is the battle between the two favorites for MVP: Lamar Jackson and the 13-5 Baltimore Ravens against Josh Allen and the 14-4 Buffalo Bills. Both teams handily won their Wild Card Round games — Baltimore beat the Pittsburgh Steelers, 28-14, and the Bills topped […]

After their greatest-ever regular season, in which they finished with an NFC-best 15-2 record, the Detroit Lions will open their playoff campaign with a home game against the upstart Washington Commanders. After pulling off an upset victory over the third-seeded Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the Wild Card Round, Washington will travel to Detroit to face […]

The Los Angeles Rams had probably the most surprising performance of Wild Card Weekend, downing the 14-3 Minnesota Vikings in a 27-9 drubbing just days after the game was moved to Glendale, Ariz. amid devastating wildfires in the Los Angeles area. The Rams’ reward? A visit to the City of Brotherly Love on Sunday, where […]

The Houston Texans have been written off ever since Tank Dell went down with a gruesome knee injury on December 21. For a 15-2 team, the Kansas City Chiefs have been written off all season. Regardless, the two teams have made it to the Divisional Round, where the fourth-seeded Texans will travel to the frigid […]

After an enthralling 11-game slate yesterday, the NBA is back to a more moderate showing, with just five games on the docket for Thursday’s action. It’s not often that fans get to see a battle between two Defensive Player of the Year winners. Okay, maybe I’m anointing Victor Wembanyama too early, but either way, the matchup tonight between Wembanyama — the odds-on favorite to win Defensive Player of the Year — and Jaren Jackson Jr., who won the award in […]

The Golden State Warriors are in a deep, deep slide. Golden State has lost 17 of its last 24 games after getting off to a 12-3 start and is now below .500 for the first time all season. Combined with a hot run of form by the Sacramento Kings, the Warriors have now fallen all […]

Some games on tonight’s slate — such as the 26-12 Houston Rockets visiting the 24-15 Denver Nuggets — promise to be both competitive and high-quality. Others, like the 8-28 Charlotte Hornets visiting the 10-28 Utah Jazz — do not. Alas, there needs to be 48 minutes of action regardless, so Utah fans will be treated […]

There’s nothing better than a January night where nearly all of the NBA is in action. Thankfully for hoops fans, that’s what’s in store tonight: an 11-game slate of action-packed basketball. While the top-seeded teams in each conference will be resting up for their battle on Thursday night, the second-through-fifth seeds in both conferences will […]
