15 games between 30 teams make up Saturday’s MLB slate. For those looking to cash in quickly on a bet, nothing makes more sense than an NRFI. With that being said, there’s more to this one than meets the eye. Some pitchers thrive early, while others take more time to get settled in than others. Which NRFI picks are worth a closer look on Saturday?
Ahead of today’s Major League Baseball contests, here are two NRFI bets worth placing on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Best NRFI Prop Bets Today
| Game | Pitching Matchup |
| Reds vs. Nationals NRFI (-120) | Burns vs. Alvarez |
| Orioles vs. Rangers NRFI (-130) | Bradish vs. deGrom |
Reds vs. Nationals NRFI (-120)
If there’s any silver lining to a disappointing Reds season, it’s Chase Burns. It’s been an All-Star campaign for the right-hander, already one of the best pitchers in baseball. Through 118.2 innings (21 starts), he’s notched a 2.35 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 137 strikeouts (10.4 K/9). Unsurprisingly, the 23-year-old has been terrific in the first inning as well. Burns has a sparkling 90.5% YRFI rate this season. Granted, navigating a loaded Nationals lineup won’t be easy tonight. With that being said, Washington has scored the ninth-fewest runs in baseball (34) over its last ten contests.
Toeing the slab for the home team will be Andrew Alvarez. The second-year pro isn’t a household name, but the right-hander has been solid during limited action. Over 64.0 frames (eight starts), he’s delivered a 3.94 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 63 strikeouts (8.9 K/9). During 13 career starts, he’s allowed a first inning run only once (92.3% NRFI). Tonight, Alvarez will face a Reds offense that is the definition of all or nothing. The visitors are 26th in runs scored (479) and 29th in batting average (.230). Cincinnati also comes into this one with a lackluster 27.83% YRFI rate, 11th-worst in the majors.
Orioles vs. Rangers NRFI (-130)
In this matchup that (somehow) has real postseason stakes, Baltimore will turn to Kyle Bradish. The righty is one of the longest tenured Orioles at this point, now in his fifth year with the franchise. This season, he’s delivered a 3.79 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 117 strikeouts (8.7 K/9) over 121.0 innings pitched. To boot, he comes into Saturday’s contest with a terrific 90.5% NRFI rate. Opposing Bradish will be a mediocre Rangers offense averaging the fourth-fewest runs per game in baseball (4.13). Texas batters have recorded the league’s fifth-lowest OPS at home against right-handed pitching (.690).
On the other side, it’ll be Jacob deGrom on the bump. It’s been another soli season for the superstar pitcher, still among the sport’s top arms. Over 113.2 innings pitched ( starts), he’s posted a 3.96 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 135 strikeouts (10.7 K/9). The two-time Cy Young winner has allowed five runs in two of his last three matchups. However, he’s poised for a clean first inning tonight. deGrom comes into tonight on a three-game NRFI streak. In comparison, the Orioles have put up the fourth-worst YRFI rate in baseball (23.28%). All signs are pointing to a low-scoring first inning between offensively-limited squads.
