As a prospect, Misiorowski was considered to have one of the most electric arms, throwing in the upper 90s and often touching 100 mph on the fastball. As a result, the Milwaukee Brewers selected Misiorowski in the second round of the 2022 MLB draft, giving him the largest bonus in the draft class at $2.35 million.
But many young flamethrowers have succumbed to the injury gods, and the Brewers delicately advanced their prized arm through the system.
In 2023, Misiorowski pitched 71.1 innings. The following season, that number increased to 97.1 innings. In 2025, he pitched 63.1 innings in Triple-A, then tacked on 66 in the majors for a total of 129.1. So far this season, he’s racked up 111 jaw-dropping innings. The FIP is 2.09 while the K-BB% is 33.2%. He’s allowed only nine home runs while allowing an average exit velocity of 87.3 mph and a barrel rate of 3.2%.
Misiorowski was never going to get pushed to 200 innings this season, but especially after suffering arm fatigue in July, managing the workload for the ace of the staff took on more prominence.
Misiorowski last pitched on July 7. On Monday, he finally returned to action, but was limited to four innings. He allowed four hits, walked one and struck out six. Misiorowski threw a total of 65 pitches, 45 for strikes.
There was no injury. The Brewers will just slowly build up their ace with eyes on the playoffs.
