For the first time since October 2025, the WWE returns to the SAP Center in San Jose, California, for an episode of Friday Night SmackDown. Including this week’s SmackDown, there are only three episodes of WWE television before WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas, Nevada, on April 18 and 19.

Although no matches have been announced yet for SmackDown, multiple segments are scheduled. Last week, we saw a shocking moment when Pat McAfee joined Randy Orton to attack Cody Rhodes. The WWE Undisputed Champion is set to respond on this week’s episode. Before the upcoming episode of Friday Night SmackDown, we detail viewing information, last week’s results, and the scheduled segments. Singles Match: Bayley vs. Alexa Bliss

Alexa Bliss and Bayley will go one-on-one before their Women’s Tag Team Championship match at WrestleMania 42. Dating back to 2014, Bayley and Bliss have had 11 previous singles matches, with Bayley having a 7-4 series lead. Bayely is from San Jose, which is the location of tonight’s SmackDown. With her hometown crowd behind her, I think Bayley wins her first singles match on SmackDown since November 2024.
