BREAK IT DOWN:

(stats taken from DraftKings Sportsbook’s Stats Hub)

Josh Giddey Triple-Double, Yes (+174): It feels like every other night I’m writing up the popularity of a Josh Giddey triple-double prop. It also feels like these odds are getting shorter and shorter with each passing day. It all makes sense. Giddey is finally healthy and playing his usual allotment of minutes for the Bulls, and that’s translated into some huge stat lines. In March, the former lottery pick is averaging 19.0 points, 12.0 assists and 11.7 rebounds per game, all while registering a season-high 36.4 minutes. The Raptors are far from an ideal opponent for counting stats, as Toronto owns the league’s seventh-best defensive rating (112.1) and sits 22nd in pace (99.1). However, Giddey’s managed five triple-doubles in his past seven starts. It’s hard to argue with those types of raw results.

Jalen Johnson Triple-Double, Yes (+202): The only player in the Eastern Conference with more triple-doubles than Giddey’s 12? That would be Jalen Johnson, who has 13 to his name. That includes two in his last two contests, as well. As you would expect, Johnson’s been fantastic in the nine starts he’s made during the Hawks’ 10-game winning streak, averaging 21.0 points, 8.8 rebounds and 7.8 assists. However, it is worth noting that Johnson’s 25.7% usage rate in March is his lowest in a single month since all the way back in October. That’s far from ideal as it pertains to this specific prop, though it’s a trend that’s offset by the allure of this matchup. Over its last 15 contests, Dallas owns the NBA’s sixth-worst defensive rating (118.4) and its sixth-fastest pace (102.2). That’s an elite game environment.

Nikola Jokic Triple-Double, Yes (-167): The public is triple-double crazed on Wednesday. I mentioned that Johnson and Giddey rank first and second in the East in triple-doubles. Well, Jokic leads the whole NBA, and he has double the amount of any other player — because of course he does. Oddly enough, Jokic failed to record a triple-double in Tuesday’s victory over the 76ers, yet that had more to do with Denver holding a 32-point lead at halftime than anything else. Jokic still managed to grab 14 rebounds in 24.8 minutes, though. He’s pretty good. The big man had also managed a triple-double in each of his four starts prior to yesterday, which explains the short odds we find tonight on the DraftKings Sportsbook. Who I am to tell people to fade a three-time MVP? This is a lean that I can back with full force.

3-Pick Parlay

Taking three of the most-bet player props individually is always an option, but why not roll them into a parlay and get in on all the action at once? It’s a fun way to tie everything together — feel free to tag along.
