AJ Styles Retirement Date Revealed: 2026 Will Be His Final Year

In 2026, AJ Styles’ legendary career will come to an end after an illustrious 28-year run. Styles currently competes in WWE but has also wrestled in TNA, ROH, NJPW, AAA, and WCW. He is highly regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time.

Styles has competed in WWE since 2016 and is a three-time United States Champion, two-time WWE Champion, and a one-time Intercontinental and Tag Team Champion. In WWE, Styles is the 32nd Triple Crown Champion and 15th Grand Slam Champion. Styles is also the first and only wrestler to win the WWE, TNA, and IWGP World titles.

During an interview with Tokyo Sports, Styles stated that 2026 will be his final year as an active wrestler. Styles also said he wants to retire before his body breaks down, “I don’t want the fans to see me as anyone other than AJ Styles. That’s the biggest reason. Before my body stops working, I’ve decided to retire.” Styles said that he is interested in helping the next generation of talent after his in-ring career is over.

AJ Styles is scheduled to have one last match with John Cena at WWE Crown Jewel on October 11 in Perth, Western Australia.
