AJ Lee shocked the WWE Universe on September 5 and returned to WWE, a decade after she retired and left the company. Lee didn’t just return, but she is immediately back in ring action as she will team with her husband, CM Punk, to take on fellow husband and wife duo, Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch at Wrestlepalooza.

Ahead of AJ Lee’s in-ring return at Wrestlepalooza, I break down her last match and appearance in WWE over 10 years ago.

When did AJ Lee last compete in a WWE match?

From 2009 to 2015, AJ Lee competed in WWE while winning the Divas Championship twice. She became one of the top wrestlers in the WWE Women’s division and abruptly retired due to injuries, while Punk also had an ongoing feud with the company.

AJ Lee teamed with Naomi and Paige to take on Natalya and The Bella Twins on Monday Night Raw on March 30, 2015. Her retirement was officially announced a few days later, on April 3. The last premium live event that Lee appeared on was WrestleMania 31, where she wrestled The Bella Twins with Paige.
