Friday afternoon in Las Vegas, Nevada, the WWE announced that WrestleMania 43 will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in April 2027. This is the first time the WWE will host their premiere event, WrestleMania, outside the United States. In 2018, WWE began hosting premium live events in Saudi Arabia and has since hosted 14 PLEs and three episodes of weekly television in the country.
WWE’s three most significant premium live events on their annual schedule are WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Royal Rumble. The only time one of them was held outside the United States and Canada was in 1992, when SummerSlam occurred at Wembley Stadium in London, England. That will first change when Saudi Arabia hosts the Royal Rumble on January 31, 2026.
Whenever the WWE has gone to Saudi Arabia in the past, they have brought back legends like Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, and Goldberg. This time, it is being reported that the Saudi Arabia General Entertainment Authority is attempting to finalize a deal for The Rock to compete at WrestleMania 43, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Although they are retired, it is possible that Saudi Arabia could make big offers to The Undertaker and Stone Cold Steve Austin to return at this event as well. With WrestleMania being confirmed for Saudi Arabia in April 2027, here are some potential dream matches that could take place on the card, even though it is 19 months away.
