Report: AJ Lee will make her in ring return at WWE Wrestlepalooza

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com, former three-time Divas Champion AJ Lee is expected to make her long-awaited return to action at Wrestlepalooza on September 20. Sapp also reports that a return will be announced, or she will be at Friday Night SmackDown in Chicago, Illinois, this week. Wrestlepalooza is WWE’s first event airing on ESPN. Lee retired from WWE in 2014 and hasn’t made an appearance for the company since.

Lee’s husband, CM Punk, has been on an ongoing feud with Seth Rollins since returning to WWE in 2023. At WWE Clash in Paris, Rollins’ wife, Becky Lynch, interfered and got herself involved in this rivalry. Things were taken to the next level when Lynch slapped Punk on Monday Night Raw, insinuating a return from Lee is closer than ever.
