Before his final match at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, John Cena is scheduled to compete at the next three premium live events. The inevitable match between John Cena and Brock Lesnar is likely to take place at WWE Wrestlepalooza on September 20, a new premium live event that will air on ESPN, announced on Wednesday.

Gunther
In July, Gunther defeated WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg, and among the active WWE wrestlers who haven’t faced John Cena this year, he has a good chance to be his final opponent. Gunther has been off WWE television after his World Heavyweight Championship match with CM Punk at WWE SummerSlam. If Gunther returns before the end of the year, it seems like he could be a frontrunner for this spot.
Seth Rollins
A match between the current World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins, and John Cena would make a lot of sense. They are heavily pushing Rollins’ faction “The Vision” and he could benefit a ton from this position. Rollins has a long history with Cena. They have faced each other twice in a one-on-one match on a premium live event. Rollins beat Cena for the United States Championship at SummerSlam 2015, while Cena got revenge a month later at Night of Champions.
AJ Styles
Another wrestler with whom Cena has a history is AJ Styles. They have faced each other four times in singles matches, with three of them coming at a PLE. Styles defeated Cena at Money in the Bank and SummerSlam in 2016, with Cena winning the final two matches in 2017 and 2018. With both of their careers coming to an end soon, it would be excellent to see two legendary wrestlers face off one more time.
