In April, at WrestleMania 41, WWE announced that it had acquired Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide. Since then, multiple AAA wrestlers have appeared on WWE programming, including a crossover event, Worlds Collide, in June.
Triplemania XXXIII is AAA’s most significant event of all time, as it marks the first time WWE is promoting and airing it live on its platforms. Triplemania began as an annual event, but since 2019, AAA has hosted two or more Triplemania events per year. Their last Triplemania event was Regia III in June.

AAA Mega Championship Fatal 4-Way Match
El Hijo del Vikingo (c) vs. Dragon Lee vs. Dominik Mysterio vs. El Grande Americano
El Hijo del Vikingo is currently in his second reign as champion, having defeated Alberto El Patron in May. Vikingo held the title for 833 days, the most in history during his first reign.
Although Vikingo is an excellent competitor and the best active AAA wrestler, Mysterio can take this title to heights it has never seen before. A few weeks ago, Mysterio created an incredible moment when he attacked Vikingo in Mexico, leaving the audience shocked. This is Mysterio’s match to lose, and it would be the perfect move for AAA moving forward.
Prediction: Dominik Mysterio defeats El Hijo del Vikingo, Dragon Lee, and El Grande Americano to become the AAA Mega Championship.
AAA Tag Team Championship Street Fight
Los Garza Angel & Berto (c) vs. Pagano & Psycho Clown
In June at TripleMania Regia III, Los Garza defeated Nueva Generación Dinamita to win the AAA Tag Team Championship. They have defended these titles on WWE SmackDown and have helped get notoriety on the product. Although Pagano and Psycho Clown are popular, it makes sense for Los Garza to retain the titles, getting them even more exposure on WWE television.
Prediction: Angel & Berto defeat Pagano & Psycho Clown.
Six-Person Tag Team Match
Niño Hamburguesa, Mr. Iguana & Lola Vice vs. Finn Bálor, JD McDonough & Raquel Rodriguez
Even though the Judgment Day works very well together, it would be surprising if AAA’s biggest star, Mr. Iguana, didn’t have a big moment at TripleMania. Mr. Iguana appeared on the SmackDown before SummerSlam, and the audience loved him. Seeing Niño Hamburguesa, Mr. Iguana, and Lola Vice get the best of the Judgment Day would be cool to see.
Prediction: Niño Hamburguesa, Mr. Iguana & Lola Vice defeat Finn Bálor, JD McDonough & Raquel Rodriguez.
Reina de Reinas Championship Triple Threat Match
Flammer (c) vs. Faby Apache vs. Natalya
Flammer has held the Reina de Reinas Championship for over 730 days, having been champion since August 12, 2023. Now she faces two veterans in Faby Apache and Natalya, both of whom have extensive experience. Since Natalya hasn’t been featured a ton on WWE TV recently, it is great to see her get a title opportunity in AAA. But it doesn’t seem like it is time for Flammer’s title reign to end yet.
Prediction: Flammer defeats Faby Apache & Natalya.
Latin American Championship Match
El Mesías (c) vs. El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr.
El Mesías will face off with El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. for the first time in a one-on-one match. In 2025, they have faced each other in five tag team matches. El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. won his previous singles match in AAA against Mecha Wolf in July. El Mesías has been a dominant champion, similar to Flammer, holding the title for over 275 days. El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. is due for a championship, and this could be where it happens.
Prediction: El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. defeats El Mesías.
