The current Undisputed Champion John Cena headlines Sunday’s SummerSlam card against Cody Rhodes in a WrestleMania 41 rematch. Cena defeated Rhodes to win his historic 17th Championship in April, but Rhodes returned and won the King of the Ring, earning a title shot.
Sunday’s SummerSlam card features six Championship matches. This event is taking place at MetLife Stadium, home to the NFL’s New York Giants and Jets, in East Rutherford, New Jersey. This is the fifth straight SummerSlam taking place at a Stadium and the first two-night event.

Full Card and Predictions
WWE Undisputed Championship Match | Street Fight
(C) John Cena vs. Cody Rhodes
Cena is facing Rhodes for the Undisputed title at back-to-back significant premium live events. At WrestleMania 41, Cena got the best of Rhodes, but now the “American Nightmare” will look to get revenge like he did against Roman Reigns in their second match.
Since Rhodes lost at WrestleMania, it seemed like the logical plan would be for him to regain his title at the biggest party of the summer. But with five months remaining of his retirement tour, more juice is left to get out of Cena’s run as champion and a heel.
Prediction: John Cena retains his Undisputed Championship against Cody Rhodes.
Women’s World Championship Match
(C) Naomi vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Iyo Sky
For the second straight significant premium live event, Ripley and Sky will compete against each other in a triple-threat match for the Women’s World Championship. Sky defeated Ripley and Binaca Belair to win the title, but she has since lost it to Naomi at Evolution.
Since losing her title to Sky in March, Ripley, a former multi-time champion and massive star, is due for a significant victory at one of the premier events on the WWE calendar.
Prediction: Rhea Ripley defeats Naomi and Iyo Sky to win her fourth WWE Championship.
United States Championship Steel Cage Match
(C) Solo Sikoa vs. Jacob Fatu
This rivalry has intensified in the last few weeks leading up to SummerSlam. With Sikoa having the MFTs by his side, a steel cage is the perfect structure for this blood feud to come to a head. Even though Sikoa and Fatu will be locked inside the cage, it wouldn’t be surprising if JC Mateo, Talla Tonga, and Tonga Loa got involved. Sikoa beat Fatu at Night of Champions, and this is a great spot for “The Samoan Werewolf” to become a two-time US champion.
Prediction: Jacob Fatu defeats Solo Sikoa to win the United States Championship for the second time.
Intercontinental Championship Match
(C) Dominik Mysterio vs. AJ Styles
Since Mysterio won the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 41, he has only wrestled four matches. He has successfully defended his title three times, but hasn’t wrestled since June 9 after suffering an injury.
AJ Styles earned a title shot and has had a unique and entertaining buildup throughout the past few weeks with Mysterio. Even though Styles is 48 years old, he continues to prove each time he wrestles a match that he still has a lot left in the tank. Styles is a one-time Intercontinental champion, and it would be nice for him to enter a second reign with the title as he enters the final chapter of his legendary career. This would be the perfect moment for Finn Balor to finally turn on Mysterio, making “Dirty Dom” a good guy moving forward.
Prediction: AJ Styles defeats Dominik Mysterio to win the Intercontinental Championship.
Women’s Intercontinental Championship No Disqualification Match
(C) Becky Lynch vs. Lyra Valkyria
Over the last three months, Lynch and Valkyria have had a heated rivalry, one of the best in WWE. After beating Lynch at Backlash, Valkyria has suffered two straight losses to Lynch at the previous two premium live events (Money in the Bank and Evolution).
Vlakyria defeated Bayley to earn another opportunity at the Women’s Intercontinental Championship on Monday Night Raw on July 14. This time, Lynch and Valkyria will face off in a no-disqualification match. Lynch has done an excellent job as a heel since returning at WrestleMania 41. She has elevated this title and made it feel like more than a secondary championship.
Prediction: Becky Lynch defeats Lyra Valkyria to retain her title.
WWE Tag Team Championship Six-Pack TLC Match
(C) The Wyatt Sicks vs. The Street Profits vs. The Motor City Machine Guns vs. #DIY vs. Fraxiom vs. Andrade & Rey Fenix
On the July 25 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Nick Aldis announced that the Wyatt Sicks will defend their titles in a six-way tables, ladders, and chairs match at SummerSlam. Fans had hoped a tag team ladder match would be at WrestleMania 41, but it will finally take place at the biggest event of the summer.
It has been 25 years since the first TLC match, a tag team match between Edge and Christian versus The Hardy Boyz versus The Dudley Boyz. It is fitting that it will take place at SummerSlam this year. Although they had a TLC tag team match on SmackDown in April, this will be the first men’s TLC tag team match on a PLE since 2009.
The SmackDown tag team division has experienced a resurgence throughout the past year, making for entertaining television. Four of the six teams in this match have held gold. Even though each team has a great case, the Wyatt Sicks recently won the titles, and their run is just getting started.
Prediction: The Wyatt Sicks retain their Tag Team Championship.
