Prediction, Pick for Gunther vs. Goldberg at Saturday Night’s Main Event

The WWE has labeled tonight’s WWE World Championship match as Goldberg’s last ride. Gunther is defending his title for the first time since defeating Jey Uso on June 9. This match is taking place at the 40th Saturday Night’s Main Event tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET in Atlanta, Georgia, on NBC.

Here is my prediction for tonight’s WWE World Championship match at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Gunther vs. Goldberg Prediction

“The Ring General” Gunther avenged his loss to Uso at WrestleMania and is now in his second reign as World Champion. Although the story between Gunther and Goldberg hasn’t been long, it has still been entertaining.

Even though this has been billed as Goldberg’s last match, as we know, anything is possible in professional wrestling. This is Goldberg’s first match since losing to Roman Reigns in February 2022.

Goldberg is a legend with an incredible career, but since returning to WWE in 2016, he has had more losses than wins. It would be a great feel-good moment to see Goldberg win the title in his hometown of Atlanta, but Gunther’s physical style will likely overwhelm Goldberg. Goldberg may start the match with his signature jackhammer and spear, but it would be surprising if that is enough to defeat Gunther.
