Hall of Famer Rebecca Lobo joined Mike Golic Jr. and Mike Golic Sr. on Monday’s edition of GoJo and Golic to preview the tournament. Rebecca admitted to being a little surprised that UCLA was awarded the No. 1 overall seed, and not defending champ South Carolina, which is seeking to earn the first repeat since UConn won its fourth title in a row in 2016. But that being said, if you’re looking for a silver lining, she likes the path that awaits the Gamecocks.

Meanwhile, Rebecca said her biggest surprise — and perhaps disappointment — was the draw given to JuJu Watkins and USC. Their path to the Final Four could go through perennial powerhouse UConn and Paige Bueckers. Watkins and Bueckers are two of the premier names in women’s college basketball, so Rebecca definitely finds the notion that one of them is guaranteed not to make the Final Four a disappointment.
