The Buccaneers are visiting the Cowboys for Week 5’s edition of Thursday Night Football. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Dallas is favored by 8.5 points and this game carries a total of 47.5 points.

Let’s dive into the top Bucky Irving prop bet for Thursday’s matchup.

Best Bucky Irving Prop Bet on DraftKings Sportsbook

Bucky Irving O 53.5 Rushing Yards (-109)

Irving has been strong as a rusher this season, averaging 4.3 YPC, which is a notable improvement from the 3.4 he averaged last season. Irving is averaging 60.3 rushing yards per game and among the backs who have seen 10+ carries, the Oregon product ranks 13th in rushing success rate and 13th in missed tackles forced (11).

There was speculation that Kenneth Gainwell would take a good chunk of ground work away from Irving this season, but that hasn’t been the case in the slightest. Irving is averaging 14 carries per game and handling 77.8% of the running back carries for the Buccaneers, which is a big increase from the 69.7% rush rate he saw last season.

Irving rushed for 61 yards on 16 carries last Sunday vs. the Packers in Jalon Daniels’ debut and Tampa Bay ranked fourth in rush rate for the week with the rookie under center. The Buccaneers are an 8.5-point underdog tonight vs. the Cowboys on DraftKings Sportsbook, but Tampa Bay should still attempt to establish it’s running game with Daniels at quarterback again and Dallas is a juicy matchup, as it is allowing the fifth-most yards per rush this season (4.8).

Irving has also been effective when competing in primetime games. The back has rushed for 60+ yards in four straight night slot games and he should eclipse 53.5 rushing yards tonight.
