Tuesday was a bit of the calm before the storm on the Big Brother live feeds, as we rapidly approach the second live eviction of the season on Thursday. But things did get a little more lively after the houseguests got their first alcohol delivery of the summer.

Big Brother Season 28 Week 2 Results
Sunday’s episode began Week 2 of the summer-long competition, as a new Head of Household was crowned. The Crossovers dominated Week 1, and it looks like they’re only going to get more powerful, with yet another member of that alliance in the HOH room this week. That’s right, Rick Devens won the HOH competition, keeping the combined alliance of the Crossovers and the Red Corner — now known together as the Toolshed — firmly at the top of the game.

Getting out the vote
We’re deep into campaigning mode, as various players look to solidfy their place in the house and whip votes ahead of Thursday’s live eviction vote.
Rome is pitching hard, and he probably should be given the dire state his game is in after Devens blew up his alliances by revealing who he prioritized. Rome had a plan to get all the guys together to appeal to the bro code to get their votes and after some attempts to sabotage the meeting before it even started, he brought all the dudes together. However, Dee wasn’t afraid to get in there and remind him who’s boss.

After the end of the meeting, Devens reminded all the dudes that he didn’t blow up his game and take the biggest shot of the season just to send Melody home. They need to follow through and send Rome packing.

After Rome also met with the women to plead his case, some members of the Toolshed alliance met to discuss Rome’s pitch. Let’s just say it didn’t deliver what they were hoping for, perhaps in part due to Dee’s sudden appearance.

Things aren’t exactly going great on the Melody side of things either. Her alliance with Drew appeared on shaky ground to begin with after he didn’t do much to prevent Devens from choosing to take Lyric off the block instead of her, but now after being told that some in the house are saying Drew is “whipped” by Melody and they’re into each other, it appears the pair agreed to distance themselves from each other. Which is ironic given how quickly Melody distanced herself from Mallory because she was on the block last week.

The good news for Melody is that despite some annoying behavior, some in the house think she has the votes to stay.

Showmance update
Rome has some extra motivation to stay in the Big Brother house in the person of Lyric, who he is deep in a showmance with. The duo continued unabashed with their romance after spending the days leading up to the veto nomination trying to convince everyone they had broken up. Now that Lyric is off the block, they’re back to holding each other in the shared havenot bed, sharing declarations of love and a promise on both ends should Rome be sent home this week.

A new alliance of the “Dapper Dans” — consisting of Devens, Drew, Barrett and Yash — became official and Yash seems into it. Does the rest of the alliance, who are all together in the Toolshed, feel the same about him? Probably not, to be honest. They kind of dismissed the alliance a bit yesterday, but it helps their game for now.

Speaking of Drew, amid all the other things he has on his mind with Melody, he still feels really good about Angela for some reason, even if she and Dee remain suspicious about Drew.
