Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals between the Spurs and Thunder will be played in San Antonio on Thursday. The Thunder lead this series 3-2 and can advance to the NBA Finals with a win. Chet Holmgren U 13.5 Points (-110)
Holmgren had his best performance of this series in Game 5, posting 16 points and 11 rebounds. However, the big man has struggled mightily vs. the Spurs all season, and with this series shifting back to San Antonio for Game 6, Holmgren should come back down to earth and have a subpar showing. In nine matchups vs. the Spurs this season, Holmgren is averaging 11.4 PPG, and he has fallen short of 13.5 points in 6-of-9 games.
In fact, Holmgren has finished with single-digit points in three of these tilts. When facing the Spurs, Holmgren is handling a 16.8% usage rate, which is a big drop from his 21.6% average for the season. Holmgren is tentative in this matchup, and he is a strong bet for under 13.5 points vs. this San Antonio defense that ranks second in rating this postseason.
De’Aaron Fox O 9.5 Rebounds + Assists (-134)
This combo line is very low for Fox. This postseason, the guard is averaging 5.9 assists and 4.2 rebounds in 32.9 minutes per game, and he has topped 9.5 RA in 10-of-14 games. Fox is averaging 10.6 potential assists and 8.6 rebound chances per game, and he has finished with at least 12 RA in the three games he has been active for in this series vs. the Thunder.
Fox should approach 35 minutes with the Spurs’ season on the line tonight, and he should exceed 9.5 RA with ease.
Dylan Harper U 9.5 Points (-121)
With Fox healthy again and active for the last three, Harper’s numbers have suffered. The rookie has scored six, seven and five points. Harper is only logging 20.7 minutes per game off the bench, and he is shooting an ugly 31% from the field over this time.
The Spurs are going to continue to rely on Fox tonight, with this being win-or-go home and Harper should do very little scoring once again. These two guards have faced the Thunder together seven times this season, and Harper has stayed under 9.5 points in five of these matchups vs. the defending champions.
