MLB Odds & Storylines

The Mariners have a chance to close out the Tigers in Detroit to kick off the day’s action at 3:08 p.m. ET, as Bryce Miller faces Casey Mize. The Tigers are -112 favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook, with the run total set at 8.5. The former No. 1 overall pick Mize faced the Mariners twice during the 2025 regular season, going 1-1 with a 6.23 ERA in 8 2/3 IP, but Garion Thorne is all over the Tigers in his best prop bets article for this game. One prop he is eyeing is Mize Over 9.5 Outs Recorded (-134), noting that the right-hander registered a season-high 28.1% strikeout rate and an 8.00 K/BB ratio in the month of September. Garion also threw out Riley Greene 2+ Total Bases (+122) despite Greene’s postseason struggles. Garion thinks Miller is about as appealing a matchup as a left-handed bat is going to get this time of year. He points out that Miller surrendered 2.59 opponent home runs per nine and, specifically to opposing LHBs, a massive .709 opponent slugging percentage. Greene, on the other hand, crushed RHPs in 2025, collecting 56 extra-base hits within the split with a 141 wRC+.

In the second game of the day, the Brewers have the opportunity to finish up a sweep of the Cubs at Wrigley Field. The Cubs are -115 moneyline favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook and the total is set at 6.5 runs. Charlie Cummings says in his best player props article that Quinn Priester has been a revelation for the Brewers this season, but if there’s one team that had his number, it’s the Cubs. Cubs bats are a career 20-for-67 (.299) vs Priester with 4 home runs, but Charlie highlights that Priester walked 11 batters over three starts vs. the Cubbies this season. So he’s eyeing Priester 2+ Walks Allowed (+131). On the Brewers’ side, Charlie thinks Christian Yelich’s experience against Jameson Taillon will come into play, as the Milwaukee slugger has 37 career at-bats against the tall right-hander, converting at a .351 clip. So for that reason, he threw out Yelich 2+ Total Bases (+148) as one of his top player props in this one.

The action shifts to the Big Apple at 7:08 p.m. as the Yankees look to even up their series with the Blue Jays. The Yankees are -180 favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook, with the run total set at 8.5. Cam Schlittler had a storybook performance in Game 3 of the Yankees’ Wild Card series vs. the Red Sox, but Jays hitters are 10-for-23 (.435) lifetime against the rookie. So it should be no surprise that Bryan Armetta is looking at the Jays’ hottest bat, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., as one of his top props. He notes that the first baseman has been on an absolute heater, launching three homers in three games vs. New York and earning the title of baseball’s preeminent Yankees killer in the process. He says there’s no reason not to think Vladdy will torment New York yet again tonight, so he throws out Guerrero over 1.5 hits + runs + RBIs (-123). Meanwhile, the Bronx Bombers are 13-for-33 (.394) lifetime against Louis Varland, so Bryan’s pick of Cody Bellinger 2+ total bases (+115) makes sense. The outfielder has gone three-for-eight at the plate with three RBIs over his previous two games and Tuesday’s two-hit effort was Belli’s best postseason stat line in Pinstripes.

The night wraps in Hollywood, as the Dodgers look to complete a sweep of the Phillies. The Dodgers are -186 favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook, with the run total set at 7.5. Griffin Wong points out in his game preview that so far in this series, both teams’ starting pitching has been good and their bullpens have had questions. Yoshinobu Yamamoto takes the mound for Los Angeles, with Phillies bats a career 7-for-26 (.269). With Aaron Nola getting the start instead of Ranger Suárez, Griffin thinks the best bet is Dodgers -1.5 (+108). But, he’s also got a strong lean of Yamamoto to Record a Win (+122), noting that the Dodgers finally gave Yamamoto run support in his final two regular season starts as well as in the Wild Card Round and that he wouldn’t be surprised if Shohei Ohtani helps Los Angeles to an early lead that Yamamoto, Clayton Kershaw and Roki Sasaki are simply too good to blow.
