MLB Best Bets: Mariners vs. Tigers Best Prop Bets for ALDS Game 4

Published:

With a commanding 8-4 victory on Wednesday, the Mariners are only one win away from their first ALCS appearance since 2001. That opportunity will come quickly, as Seattle and Detroit will square-off in the early slot of what will be the final four-game MLB slate of 2025.

With limited time to make some bets, here are my favorite Game 4 props on the DraftKings Sportsbook.

Mariners vs. Tigers Prop Bets for Game 4

Riley Greene 2+ Total Bases (+122)

This could be the last chance for Riley Greene to have an impact on this postseason, and he’s struggled through the Tigers’ first six games, striking out in 33.3% of his 24 plate appearances with just an .087 ISO. However, today is a new day, and Bryce Miller is about as appealing a matchup as a left-handed bat is going to get this time of year. To say that Miller struggled in his final eight starts of the season would be an understatement, and it’s quite clear that the 27-year-old wouldn’t be on this ALDS roster if not for an injury to Bryan Woo. In August and September, Miller surrendered 2.59 opponent home runs per nine and, specifically to opposing LHBs, a massive .709 opponent slugging percentage. Greene crushed RHPs in 2025, collecting 56 extra-base hits within the split with a 141 wRC+. Now is the time for the All-Star to have a moment.

Casey Mize Over 9.5 Outs Recorded (-134)

I understand why this prop is so low. The Tigers have their backs up against the wall on Wednesday, and for a team that made pitching “chaos” its identity last postseason, you know the bullpen will be ready to go as soon as necessary for A.J. Hinch. Still, Casey Mize has been really good over the past six weeks. Like, way better than you think. While Mize posted a 4.92 ERA in the regular season’s second-half, his month of September was absurd, with the right-hander registering a season-high 28.1% strikeout rate and an 8.00 K/BB ratio. Mize also wasn’t awful in Game 2 of the Wild Card series, despite being pulled after 12 batters, as he only surrendered a single hit. This is a tough matchup against a red-hot Mariners lineup, but even Jack Flaherty saw the fourth inning in Game 3 after giving up a pair of runs in the third. I think the former first-overall pick has a slightly longer leash than this prop is suggesting.

Kerry Carpenter or Riley Greene – Either Player 1+ Home Runs (+148)

This is a slightly more risky version of the aforementioned Greene prop, with the added benefit of adding Kerry Carpenter to the ticket. Like Greene, Carpenter is known for his ability to destroy right-handed pitching. In fact, among players with at least 500 plate appearances against RHPs since the beginning of last season, Carpenter ranks sixth in ISO (.282), only trailing the likes of Aaron Judge, Shohei Ohtani, Giancarlo Stanton, Juan Soto and Kyle Scvhwarber. Pretty good company! Meanwhile, Bryce Miller possessed a first percentile opponent average exit velocity in 2025 (92.4). In the final two months of the regular season, he conceded 4.26 home runs per nine to opposing LHBs. This is man practically begging to be taken deep by either Carpenter or Greene.
