At one point in the season, the Chicago Cubs looked like legitimate contenders, and perhaps the best team in the National League. But as the season wore on, they watched the Milwaukee Brewers storm past them for the NL Central crown. Now Milwaukee is handing out punishment in the NLDS, up 2-0 after a pair of commanding performances at home.

Quinn Priester 2+ Walks Allowed (+131)
Quinn Priester certainly has been a revelation for the Milwaukee Brewers this season. But if there’s one team that had his number, it’s the Chicago Cubs.
In three starts against Chicago, Priester gave up 10 earned runs over 14.1 innings. Worst of all, he walked 11 batters over those three starts. It’s not a promising sign for him on Wednesday, even with the Cubs swinging and missing at everything in the playoffs. A pair of free passes feels like a near certainty.
Christian Yelich 2+ Total Bases (+148)
No player on the Brewers comes close to the experience Christian Yelich has against Jameson Taillon. The Milwaukee slugger has 37 career at-bats against the tall right-hander, converting at a .351 clip. That includes two home runs and a double, plus four walks. Taillon has had ups and downs, but then again, so has Yelich. It’s clear he sees Taillon well, and that could produce fireworks early in this game.
Jackson Chourio 1+ Home runs (+540)
If you need a nice long shot, look no further than Jackson Chourio. Though he is battling through a lingering hamstring injury, he sees Taillon’s pitches like a beach ball. The young star is 7-for-13 in his career against the Cubs hurler with a home run and two doubles.
His status for the game bears watching; with Milwaukee up 2-0 in the five-game series, it’s possible manager Pat Murphy plays things cautiously. But if he’s in the lineup, I like him a lot as a dart throw to go yard.
