Trevor Lawrence suffers shoulder injury, ruled OUT in Week 16 vs. Buccaneers

Jaguars QB suffered a shoulder injury in Week 16. Here are the latest updates and fantasy football impact.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence exited in the fourth quarter of Week 16 vs. the Buccaneers due to a shoulder injury. Lawrence tried to dive for a first down at the sideline and landed on his shoulder. He is questionable to return, but down 30-6 they might not push him to return.

Lawrence just cleared concussion protocol before this matchup and has been dealing with an ankle injury. C.J. Beathard has come in for Lawrence.

Update: Lawrence will not return to the game. He has been downgraded to out for the duration of this matchup. This could just be precautionary at this point, but we’ll hopefully learn more after the game.

Update: Lawrence is questionable to return with a shoulder injury suffered in the fourth quarter against the Buccaneers.

Playoff implications

The Jaguars are on the verge of going 8-7, which would give us three teams at 8-7 in the AFC South. The Jaguars still have the tiebreaker, but they will need to win out to secure the division title.
