Cincinnati Bengals top WR Ja’Marr Chase was forced to leave late in the fourth quarter vs. the Minnesota Vikings in Week 15 on Saturday. The broadcast said Chase was officially questionable to return to the game due to a shoulder injury. Chase was later ruled out for the rest of the game, seen in street clothes on the sideline.

The Vikings had just completed another touchdown drive to take a 24-17 lead late in the fourth quarter. Despite the injury to Chase, QB Jake Browning was able to lead a drive and connect with WR Tee Higgins for the tying score.

Update — The Bengals were able to pull off the 27-24 win in overtime to improve to 8-6. The Vikings fall to 7-7, but remain in the 6th seed in the NFC for the time being. We’ll see how tiebreakers shake out after Week 15 but there could be a few teams at 7-7 with Minnesota.

Prior to exiting the game, Chase led the Bengals with four catches for 64 yards. Higgins has two touchdowns and four catches for 61 yards on a team-high seven targets. Browning is having another decent fantasy football week with two TDs and close to 300 yards passing. He may have a shot at reaching that mark if the game goes to OT.

With Chase questionable to return, he may not get back into the game. Higgins should continue to be the go-to guy as the Bengals try and pull off the comeback victory. Cincinnati desperately needs a win to improve to 8-6 in the AFC playoff picture. The Bengals entered the game in 10th place in the AFC standings, in need of a lot more help to get back into the Wild Card picture.

Update — Chase suffered a separated shoulder, according to NFL Media’s Mike Garafolo. It’s unclear how long Chase will be out, but it’s a good bet he’ll miss next week, and potentially more.
